I swear every single walk has scored since the ASB Two more in this inning, despite no hits or sacrifices.

We managed to catch the DBacks at the an opportune time, while they happen to be down their two best hitters; it's a bit annoying to not take advantage of that

went to get food and WTH ?
Is anyone starting to think that a team built on speed isn't ideal for Fenway ? They can't do it at home. Its not like they didn't run the club that way for 100 years or anything ?

I’m old enough to remember when this team was defined by comebackability and scrappy grinding to get back into games. It’s two runs- bloop and a blast - let’s go. Edit: Three runs. Bloop, walk and a blast. Edit 2: Four runs. Bloop, walk, back-to-back blasts. I'd accept the dripping faucet method: bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop

Its not like they didn't run the club that way for 100 years or anything ? The team has crap pitching - speed doesn't fix that. Aside from Houck, Martin and Jansen ( usually), who do we have we can rely on?

Its not like they didn't run the club that way for 100 years or anything ? I mean, today the issue is two total hits on offense, while gifting the opponent free runs. I think speed in principle should be good in Fenway because it's a great park for XBH compared to homers.

Even the best offenses are going to have days where they get completely shut down.

That Rafaela at bat pretty much sums up our second half

We're going to end up having pitching being as awful as the pessimists (like me) thought it would be - which is gonna be what sinks the season. Still crazy excited about 2025. Get us two starting pitchers, FO.

Wong has regressed so much defensively He is not the answer behind the plate. They need a better option until they know whether Teel is or beyond if he is not.

Q...do leadoff singles end up scoring as often as leadoff walks seem to?

Q...do leadoff singles end up scoring as often as leadoff walks seem to? Based on some fairly basic research it seems that they're about the same, this is from SABR:
