I'd get it, I'd also just like to see him getting used to throwing 90+ pitches at the MLB level for next season, but yeah I'd understand taking him out here. edit: excited to see Guerrero, though I would like to see him get late inning action, this is a decentl leverage situation being up by one. |

Worth noting that if the Sox hadn't painted themselves into a corner, record wise, Fitts only had 80 pitches to finish the 5th. Normally, that'd mean he'd pitch into the 6th.
I'm very happy about what I've seen so far.

Well, thankfully, Guerrero gets out of the jam, impressed although he did get lucky that Miranda ball was a ground out (it was a fastball down the middle of the plate yuck).
That aside, he's been great. Now, it's not reasonable to expect him to be a high-leverage guy next year, but I think he has a spot in the bullpen next year.
On Valdez, I've been down on him for a while... I don't think he has much of a long-term future here.

Not for nothing, Guerrero also has a (slightly more sketchy) 0.00 ERA through five appearances.
