This is the part where Toronto is trying hard to give us this game. Two dropped foul balls, two walks. We shall see.

Lucky they threw a strike to Ceddanne. He was going to be swinging

Does Burr not know who he's pitching to? It's 2-2 in the count, throw one out of the zone and Rafaela will probably chase at it. Instead he sends one down the middle, not a very wise decision.

Youk just said I would make the same pitch again and the pitcher did exactly that and than. Youk says that was a bad choice he should have thrown him a fastball up.

Not ready to pull the plug on grissom but I'd be lying if the thought that maybe he's just one of those guys who mashes in the minors but can't hit ML pitching didn't cross my mind. Willing to give him a good shot next season though. Feels like calling Campbell up would be a rush job but can't rule him out as an option out of the gate either. I’m not worried about Grissom’s offense. He should certainly hit. No idea what his long term role is with the org, as they have serious talent coming up. Rooting for the kid! Glad to see him healthy.

I'd like to know the odds of accomplishing that particular feat while simultaneously rocking a .274 OBP.

He hit really well in August as a Woo. Like you said though, middle infielders o plenty on the horizon, and Ceddy looks the plug in up the middle guy.

Romy has been a really surprisingly nice addition to the team. If Refsnyder is indeed going to retire, Romy will be really important on next year's team.

Dreading a Masa rollover here. It worked thanks to the Blue Jays defense!

Two really good swings by Grissom tonight - more hope for next year.

Romy has been a really surprisingly nice addition to the team. If Refsnyder is indeed going to retire, Romy will be really important on next year's team. Nothing against Romy, but it's going to be difficult (not impossible) for him to make the team. Story is a lock at short unless he gets hurt again, so Campbell, Hamilton, Grissom and Romy will be competing for what is probably two middle-infield spots. I don't think Grissom makes the team with what I've seen recently, but who knows, if Campbell is ready, he's the starter. Now, Romy could beat out Hamilton, it's just going to be difficult. If Campbell isn't ready, then it's pretty easy and Romy/Hamilton are the 2B combo, unless Grissom has a good ST.

Doug Clark hitting coach at Worcester did a nice job with Grissom. Gedman too.

My bet is they give Grissom first chance at second unless Grissom Campbell knocks their sox off in ST. Hamilton and Romy battle for a spot on the bench. Grissom is going to play every day be it Worcester or Boston. Can't wait to the Hot Stove heats up with trade talk around Thanksgiving.
Edit: Crossed off second listing of Grissom obvious mistake meant to type Campbell.

We are going to go to extra innings tonight, aren't we? The more important question is are we going to 500?
