Boy I'd love to see Ohtani bust out, but he doesnt look right. That shoulder must be killing him. I’ve been hyping up Tim Hill but I wonder if they did Ohtani a favor by not going with velo against him with the hurt shoulder

All considered a 1 run deficit after sending out the scrubs of the Dodgers bullpen for 5 innings, could be worse

I sure hope we don’t have to see any Dodger pitcher from this bullpen game the rest of the way. No wonder we didn’t see these guys

I sure hope we don’t have to see any Dodger pitcher from this bullpen game the rest of the way. No wonder we didn’t see these guys Glad they won last night. Tonight was a highly predictable loss. I think the Yankees are going to push the series back to LA and the talk of coming back from 3-0 will ratchet up. If it does get there I just hope the Dodgers put a stop to it, that the Dodgers get offense beyond Freeman and Yamamoto gives them 6 good innings. My preference would be to see Cole intentionally walk Freeman with the bases empty and then implode, lol.

Cole's gonna blow it. I feel it in my bones. And then he's gonna not opt out and Yankees fans will be all pissy about it.

What was that guy's plan, exactly? "Just gonna real subtle like wrestle the ball out of Mookie's glove, bet no one'll notice..." Okay, I've been Zaprudering this, and actually what I'm really mystified by is fan #2 - the guy who grabs Mookie's right hand. What is he trying to do there? Help his buddy steal the ball by manhandling the Dodgers' rightfielder (again, somehow thinking no one will notice)? But he actually seems to draw the hand towards Mookie's glove hand. Very inexplicable Yankee fan behavior; very deranged.

Funny to watch this after watching the 2004 doc and seeing the play in which ARod swipes the ball out of Arroyo’s hand on the 1b line.

that Don Orsillo is not calling these games is a criminal offense, punishable by 60 days in the clink and / or a fine of 10G's.

It’s probably just paranoia, but I’m worried Roberts angered the baseball gods by throwing a bullpen game in the World Series

I guess I'm in the minority here but I think Davis is good, better than Buck. Smoltz talks too much, but his curmudgeonliness has charms at its times (usually when I'm a curmudgeon about the same things that he is like bullpen games, the 1996 World Series, players who don't even try to do situational hitting), and it also adds extra highlight to the stuff he finds clearly entertaining (Betts, Soto, Kahnle's ability to survive throwing only changeups).

These guys were yahoos, but I think they deserve a bit of credit for kind of knowing the rules. They're allowed, once we're in the stands instead of in play, to try and catch the ball. It wouldn't have been interference, for example, if they had caught the ball in front of Mookie's glove. It also probably wouldn't have been if they hit his glove while they were going for the ball either. Obviously, they crossed the line significantly when you're talking about intentionally trying to rip the ball out of his glove. A good fan is trying to catch that ball so Mookie can't. Just, y'know, don't ASSAULT the guy.
