I would prefer that Tatum misses the contested step back against Toronto than think it’s a viable option in late Spring. This team is way too loaded for him to still be taking that shot.
The Celtics are on pace for about 64 wins and it’s kinda ugly. And that part is fine. Because as long as they can change gears in May I really don’t care.

I'm taking a different thought process on the Tatum last shot winner. I think it could boost his confidence in those situations (he needed it badly). With the added confidence, maybe he will be more willing to take it to the basket then settle for contested 3s which seem like what he always does in those situations. Even if he does take a hard shot, got to think he will have some success to lean on rather than all the misses he has had past 3 years.

I don't think anything about this season has been even remotely to "kinda ugly". Second best offense in the league behind only the Cavs who are going berserk, the defense has been a bit of an issue but it's still safely a top 10 unit. That's without The Porzingod who elevates this team from "best in league" to "in the conversation for best of all time". I know expectations are sky high, but come on friend lol.

Q was TERRIBLE in the first quarter and then made a fantastic play at the buzzer out of sheer instinct. Wish he would trust his game more, he got some moves!

Whew what a block by Horford and a f*ck you 3 by Tatum. Great game thus far, the team looks very engaged.

Best 1st half of the season that I've seen. Looking very impressive.

That’s an extremely obvious foul by Mobley.

Q getting absolutely abused, get either Tillman or Kornet in there for the rest of the non-Al minutes.

Celtics are shooting over 50% from three and are only up 5. This is not sustainable.

Queta not looking good at all, they are exploiting him continuously. Rough last 8 minutes of 3rd. Need to toughen up on defense again.

HOW DO YOU NOT CALL THAT??? Tatum hacked on the rebound. This has been despicable officiating

I'm not a blame the refs guy very often, but the calls have been brutally in favor of the Cavs in the 2nd half.

It’s classic Tony brothers
He just made a call where physics would have to be defied for it to be accurate, he was also making the Cavs ball signal while it was still live. Total hack, has something personal going on with Tatum

Cavs are really good and all, but honestly the game was only close due to some REALLY atrocious calls.

Sheesh. This is the first game of the year where I am a bit concerned. I think the Cavs were the better team tonight. Even with Cleveland playing two bigs and two mediocre defenders in the backcourt, narrowly winning when you shoot 54% from 3 AND win the rebound margin is not good.

Cleveland is an exceptionally bad team guarding the perimeter lately-I think I just heard 3 straight teams hit over 20 3’s against them This is likely true. They do play two bigs (and two undersized guards) in heavy rotation together. However, they killed Boston in the paint tonight. If you’re Cleveland, eating in the paint feels more sustainable than Boston shooting 54% from three.

Adding Porzingis against them should be a death sentence for Cleveland, they won’t be able to hang with us

They led by 21 points and pretty much every made 3 was a great look. At this point this has to be bait.
