And just wait, Chapman will give up a bloop single to a pitcher to lose a playoff series now. If karma is real... I'd love to hear Theo's actual thoughts on this trade. I doubt he will be facing a pitcher in any playoff situation.

I'd rather acquire another lefty reliever before they attempt to screw up Johnson even more by throwing him in the bullpen. Throwing him in the bullpen is a horrible idea after everything he's recently been through. I'd rather see him compete for a job in the rotation this year or next year if he doesn't feel comfortable with that idea. I love how fans can just throw ideas around with forgetting what just happened a month ago with Johnson. What the carjacking stuff? Thats why he is having anxiety?

There is no such thing as clutch There is no such thing as clutch There is no such thing as clutch Yes. There is no such thing as clutch. Theres just choking in big moments. "clutch" just means that the moment is not to big for you and you just go about your business just like you normally do and the ones who choke are the ones that are nervous and cant perform.

Still makes no sense to me to give the runners a huge advantage but we will have to agree to disagree on this one. A pitcher doesn't have to throw over 3 times to keep a baserunner honest. It's not some huge advantage. It's actually an unfair advantage to the pitcher to keep throwing to 1st, making a guy slide 10 times and wearing him out a little. You know what you are getting yourself into with such a big lead. If you have to slide back 10 times or so than your asking for a pick off attempt.

FWIW, my comments about 105 were in the following context: 1) it was a single pitch. You know how when you're driving you assume the officer's radar gun is give or take a few mph? Why are we suddenly falling all over ourselves over a single pitch? 2) We already knew he sat in the high 90s. 3) We'd already heard he hit 103 once previously (wasn't nearly as publicized). I have the same thoughts about that single pitch, but again, I'm not sure what new this is telling us. It's fun. It changes literally nothing about Kopech for me in that I think highly of him and I think no higher of him now. I look forward to seeing him on Sunday. Let me ask you this. Do you think higher of him after these last three starts? Or do you have to see his next start in person?

im so excited for this kid. Back to back years with amazing picks. Groome and Benintendi. Moncada also only 21 and Kopech 20. Those 4 guys should be untouchable. Devers should be packaged right now for Jose Hernandez or Julio Teheran. I wouldn't trade for Jose Hernandez even if it was for our lowest rated prospect!

The yankees have the grounds crew soak the dirt all around and in front of home plate to slow down ground balls. How is that ok? Its their fault that they have a slow infield why should other teams have to pay for it? I know its a mutual advantage or disadvantage but the red sox would be just fine on defense with the dry dirt.

A coupl observations from the first video: 1. I think the batter is trying to make the 1985 all-star team. Nice mustache buddy. 2. I feel comfortable knowing the Kopech will be able to handle big crowds after seeing that tape. But seriously, that was sad how empty that stadium was. I kind of wish more of the teams were local. Like the Brockton Rox were really the high or low A ball team. I wonder how much more people would follow the teams and the organization. Less kids than ever are watching baseball but I wonder if u offered them cheap game experiences in the area if that would change by having them know the players from when they were minor leaguers Good stuff man. And The sad thing is that there are plenty of major league ball parks that are empty.

Because he is not very good. Both pitchers are getting crushed actually. You're abusing the hell out of the English language, crook. I'm going to need a definition for "both" and another one for "crushed". I was talking about the alcoholic and the #5 pitcher. They were both getting hit hard.

What's the actual reason for E-Rod throwing so many fastballs? Almost exclusively. Because he is not very good. Both pitchers are getting crushed actually. I think he heard us.
