I'm getting the O's broadcast and they're concentrating that Pivetta blocked the plate. My argument is how can that be blocking the Plate when Pivetta, Galvis & the ball are all arriving at the Plate at the same time? Pivetts has to be entitled to the ball?

Serious question. If a pitcher gives up a lead off double in the 10th inning and the runner scores, that counts as an “earned run” against him? Good question as I don't know how MLB is scoring that. From the Box score I saw. Tate has run but not a earned run against him. |
