Wow!!! On a different note, I didn't realize but Mookie is basically Mike Trout - 30 walks: Mookie | .305/.347/.534 | 21 HR | 17 SB | Trout | .313/.425/.543 | 19 HR | 17 SB |
And if a frog had wings...

By Coppo at the Braves, who structured a deal to give the Sox incentives to include Kopech. By the ChiSox, who made Kopech a necessary part of the deal for Sale. Where was this reported? Provide a link or an exact quote.

Deepjohn, are you claiming that you work in baseball or have in the past? Or are you saying you're just some dude in his underwear who happens to have contacts with GMs? You like to dance around this because if you actually came right out and said it even your supporters would laugh at you. So how about it? What are your credentials?

Any of the experts want to try a comparable Red Sox package? Best player in the deal is a back end top 100 guy. Seems like MIL went for quantity over quality. I think we could have easily matched in terms of value without touching the big 4, but it's possible we just didn't match up with what MIL wanted.

If "every scout and GM in the game", or even a good amount of them, knew that he was the next Syndergaard then he would be a top 5 prospect in baseball, as these lists are heavily influenced by the industry. But he's not even close.
Which means you're flat out lying and making things up. Which is what a troll does. It wouldn't bother me, but I suspect there are some people here who might actually take you seriously (or course they'd either have to be children or morons) and you're doing them a disservice.
So just stop. It's embarrassing and not funny.

Catching is literally their weakest position. By far. Is it a fatal flaw? No, but that's not a reason to not acquire a massive upgrade if the price is reasonable. Sandy Leon has 1.6 fWAR in 29 games. How weak is it really? We wouldn't be trading for Lucroy to re-play the previous 29 games. If you want to declare a guy who's not a prospect and has been borderline replacement level as suddenly being a 3 WAR player because of a month hot streak, god bless you, and I hope you're right.

That said, I think he'll end up with a team that needs him more, like Cleveland or NYM.

Swihart plus something not significant. If they include a reliever I'd consider Kopech as well. Catching position is the least concerning on this team. Need at least 2 relievers Catching is literally their weakest position. By far. Is it a fatal flaw? No, but that's not a reason to not acquire a massive upgrade if the price is reasonable.

Lincecum is trash. There is no excuse for this lineup to not light him up.

And none of them can hit. That's why. what would your proposed trade for lucroy? Swihart plus something not significant. If they include a reliever I'd consider Kopech as well.

Why would the sox want lucroy? They have 2 vets and 2 rookies that can catch. And none of them can hit. That's why.

As I talked about on the podcast (sorry, just don't have the time to write these days... maybe someday), Kopech really labored on Saturday. Threw almost all fastballs too, so it wasn't a matter of working on the secondaries. I'll be honest that I came away thinking future closer rather than future #2 or #3, but of course, caveat being that it was a single start and the heat/humidity (yes he's from Texas, but it was humid as hell Saturday) may have factored into his struggles a bit. What sort of contact was made? I see there were only 2 hits. If he's fooling hitters into swinging when they should take, and getting soft contact, that is one of the few things that correlates well with reducing runs allowed. The hitter is getting the bat on the ball, which avoids the K, but he's just popping it up or hitting it into the ground. This ability to fool hitters also justifies throwing more balls as he nibbles on the edges more. Soft contact tends to strand runners with popups or dribblers. You can call it laboring, but he stretched all the way out to 97 pitches and had gas left in the tank. Get ready for the callup! This guy is Noah 2.0ah. You're not even trying at this point.

15 walks in 23 High-A innings. That big league call up is imminent.

Swihart, Chavis, Ockimey, Light. Rational trade proposals have no place on the internet, sir.

Rob Bradford @bradfo 2m2 minutes ago Talked to multiple MLB execs who say same thing: Sale trade 'highly unlikely' unless White Sox absolutely blown away This has convinced me they're going to trade him now.

Yeah and right after that we'll trade Devers and Swihart for Mike Trout. Well, what do you think BTH? Will at least one of the remaining big 3 be gone? You've been predicting it from the beginning and you obviously know your man No, I don't think they will make another major deal but it wouldn't shock me.

Cafardo said live on NESN adeal with ERod and one of the top prospects gets it done for Sale. Implied there would be a couple more pieces. Again, Cafardo. ERod + Benny + Haley + Darwinzon? Not necessarily these guys, but I mean the couple other pieces being a AAAA kind of pitcher NOT KEITH COUCH and a lower minors long shot of sorts, I mean. If DD has that in line IMO he should take it. Yeah and right after that we'll trade Devers and Swihart for Mike Trout.

There's no way you're getting Sale without either Benintendi or Moncada. I don't care if you're offering the entire rest of the farm system.

Amazing that we have not one but two relievers now who throw 99-100 but can't get anyone out.

There were also cameras on Moncada from the minute he arrived in Fort Myers. That doesn't happen to many 19 year old prospects.
