Don we're talking upgrading Kornets spot at center, he literally has no rule in playoffs unless an injury happens or you need more bodies for a guy like Embiid. He's insurance and depth. If he's good maybe that changes, if he's bad he doesn't play or gets traded. That's the beauty of if, there isn't much risk. From everything I've seen if we use mid-level we get hard capped, seen it at two places now right before free agency started. That's highly unlikely as it really limits you and why they haven't used it. I'd prefer the defender who was good on those bad Magic teams, imagine what he could do on the Celtics? Yet sure if you could get Woods it would be something you have to do, he's just that talented. It's like adding a Brogdon at the big spot. I don't think we can get Bamba because of our depth, I certainly think Wood will have many better options at getting more minutes. The Suns for example, who also have a bunch of injury risks and much less depth. Also a team designed to outscore people, not be a great defense team. Yet if it could happen, it would be a great move. Thing is, I think they are not replacing the Kornet spot, Woods would be replacing the Grant spot. In a way that would be a much better version of Enes Kanter, ideally. They are probably not going to get a guy like Grant if they need to replace him, so they probably could get creative. Granted I know it's a longshot. But this has been such a weird market. |

Not a chance at veteran minimum salary. Who knows maybe you're right, yet barely played with Lakers due to injury before playoffs. TT barely played and he has a long history and chemistry with LeBron. Lakers played small ball to get more scoring on floor. He's a perfect final piece if you can get him, which is unlikely due to Williams, Unicorn and Horford. Also nice thing about him, is his numbers don't change starting or on bench. 3 point shooting, rebounding and blocked shots, that's just a rare combo. It's tough because I really like Bamba, but he has always played on bad teams and after being traded for peanuts to a decent team, he didn't do much of anything. I get that the injury played a part, but I just can't trust him I guess lol. One guy they should take a look on a Bruce Brown deal is Christian Wood. Terrible defender who could have a tough market, he could play on a one year deal to regain value. Horford, RWIII and The Porzingod all have durability issues and they are all strong defenders, so you could pair any of them with Wood and still be doable. |

I'd love Bamba also, yet that seems unlikely given our depth. Bamba couldn't get minutes over Tristan Thompson friend. I have always really liked Bamba, but maybe we need to move on at this point. |

Westbrook may not have an option to sign for anything more than the taxpayer MLE or a vet minimum if he wants to keep playing. This is going to be a super interesting free agency this year with the new rules. WOULD go for Westbrook coming out the bench, he has become somewhat underrated after being put through the meat grinder that is the constant Lebron Drama Squad. He's a flawed player in kind of funny ways, but he's incredibly useful if put in the right situation. |

Wow. Paul to the Warriors for a package including Jordan Poole. Bro I think Chris Paul is cooked so it’s hard to expect much of a return, but leave it to the Wizards to turn a bad thing into a worse one. Poole is a f*ckballer who can’t defend to save his life. He isn’t a JAG, but he’s overpaid and doesn’t make sense on a rebuilding team. The Wizards are probably expecting him to regain some trade value, but he would have to play his ass off for any team to take that contract. Imagine being a Wizards fan. |

Smart is my favorite player of all time. Not my favorite Celtic, my favorite basketball player. But selling high on him with White on the roster isn’t a bad move. Getting 2 first round picks for him is great. Getting The Porzingod for a second round pick is legendary. Not much to complain aside from missing Marcus but this is a move they HAD to make.

Anyone remember the draft debate about the #3 pick we used on Brown? Murray now has two playoff runs where he's put up advanced numbers in playoffs Brown has never come close too age 22 and age 25. Murray gets better in playoffs and Brown gets worse. I hear so many excuses about age, that might be true with Tatum, unfortunately it currently isn't true with Brown. I guess we just hope he's a late bloomer. #Browns not a super max player! The Nuggets two star players just averaged 17.2 assists per game in the Finals. Tatum and Brown averaged 8.4 against that same Heat team. Team basketball, running offense versus just iso. Yet I hear so much just run it back, we don't need X and O, it's fine with those two running the offense, look at their age. Brown was the best player in this team in last year’s run. I do very much agree with your other point about the Celtics needing to rely less on ISO ball. |
