Fantastic decision to start Carp Too bad he only managed 1 base on those 2 long flyouts.

This game so far is a great illustration of the frustrations of sequencing.

Sizemore has probably done more for the Sox than we rationally could've predicted on January 22nd when he signed.

Tillman has been tremendously lucky to have only given up one run so far. There's easily three or four deep fly balls that easily could have dropped or left the park, and he's managed to strand a lot of runners to boot.

jmei, you're missing the point: Carp carp carp, lineup lineup, base running blunders.

And Lester is having some bad BAPIP luck along with it.

Egad, what the hell. No Ellsbury and Shane at the top of the lineup equals feeble offensive. Middlebrooks ks on 3 straight and flies out weekly. So much for spring training, what a stiff. Can we sign Drew and move X Man to third. But seriously....

Sox are using their classic 2013 tactic of getting starters out early by forcing them to use more than 20 pitches per inning.

This is like a Lackey start from last year - great pitching, lousy run support via BBIP buzzard luck.

wouldn't it just have been easier to pinch run JBJ for Nap and let him try to steal the base. Move Carp to 1st?
