If you're going to express anger, at least know what you're angry about:

It's no secret that the Red Sox offense is struggling. The team has 59 home runs as a team. Abreu has 25 by himself. I knew the wagons were going to circle on you django....having felt the wrath of the collective on occasion Meh. I know they're just frustrated with losing. My drum (and the one I have no problems banging) is with the team's not exploiting more the stream of Cuban talent. The team has the financial resources to get these guys. Hopefully we get the NEXT Abreu sometime soon. Then, I think everyone will be that much happier.

Not soon enough. I'm personally willing to drive to NYC to pull a Tonya Harding on Pierzynski.

Ken Rosenthal ?@ken_Rosenthal 1m Betts not in lineup for #RedSox tonight against #Yankees' Tanaka. Will start in RF tomorrow; working at that spot today in early work at YS.

Ken Rosenthal ?@ken_Rosenthal 22s #RedSox will clear a spot by optioning De La Rosa. Peavy is healthy, cannot be placed on DL. Obviously, Sox have yet to find taker for him.

Kind of rough going west coast to east coast overnight without a day off. Not sure the MLB schedulers did us any favors there. I'm not using travel as an excuse for the putrid offense, (I think a lack of passion and/or effort and/or focus is more to blame) but I think travel was a contributing factor. Perhaps you live in a world where Thursdays don't exist, but the Red Sox were off that day. It is rare to have a West Coast night game without a day off where the next game is on the East Coast. Give the schedulers some credit. Boston a lot of times is at fault for that, as is NY. Both of those teams are loathe to schedule day games on getaway day for other teams, so other teams are generally not helpful with those 2 teams either when it comes to them. Understand league schedulers make out the schedule, but home teams have a lot of input as to the time of day/night the game is played. As for this Yankee game. I understand it's just over a day off after a Mariner night game. The M's could have scheduled a day game, but the reasons I described above probably played into it.. Boston selling as many tickets as possible, including nearly always scheduling night games on every visiting team's getaway day. Throw some of the blame squarely where it belongs. It's always been that way with both Boston and NY. They earned that punishment. Maybe the fans of both teams will learn to attend matinees and it will cease one year.

How about Oakland as a destination for Peavy? The A's wouldn't pay us a dime, but then nobody else is likely too either. Peavy's garbage would probably play up in that stadium and they have Pomeranz on the DL after breaking his hand attacking a chair. If they're willing to run Brad Mills out there, they A's would probably be fine with Peavy. The Braves also would seem like a possible match based on their rumored interest in Peavy last July.

That's bad when you can't even get someone like the Pirates, who need anyone with a pulse to take him, not to mention that in that mausoleum he could probably do half decent. Cherrington must have asked Huntington for 2 wooden nickels in exchange and something more than a nobody in return.

Let's call up the hottest guy in the system with a consecutive on-base streak...and sit him. John Farrell, ladies and gentlemen.

It would have been fun for Tanaka to be his first opponent. Biggest downer over the Betts promotion is he has little to no chance of winning the ROTY.

Bring him up to play.

Abreu's going to hit 50 home runs this year (breaking the rookie record) and he won't win either. With Tanaka it's the same as when Ichiro entered the league. Is he really a rookie? Technically, yes. In reality, no.

what is the expected return on Capuano?
(A.) Traded with 3rd-rate player(s) coming back. (B.) No trade, but somebody picks up his contract on waivers. (C.) No waiver claim. Some team signs him for league minimum. Sox: the balance.

Well, Brock Holt is unlikely to be sitting, so either Xander is getting a day off, or he's back at SS and Drew is on the bench. Hard to know what they have in mind long-term here.

It could interesting if Betts sticks. If done right, there could a lot of rotation between third, short, and the outfield that may create some energy and perhaps a different ball club. Farrell needs to to find playing time for Betts, Hotlz, Bradley and X-Man and not bench one for the other. For example, if Betts is in right, do you bench Holtz, who is your best player right now, or put him at third with X-Man sitting for a spell? I would be surprised to see them put X-Man at short again. And Bradley may not see many left handers. Don't believe there is a need for Herrera if all goes well. Dustin also needs to sit more.
It is clear that the Sox are basically reconciling to the fact that they will not see Shane or Will for some time.

^The persistent swelling in Middlebrooks finger is not a good sign. I've broken three fingers (both pinkies and an index). The one time I had continued swelling was because I wasn't keeping it splinted and was engaging in activities like mountain biking. I'd imagine that swinging a bat prior to complete healing isn't the brightest thing in the world to do either.
