What happened to the Oakland outfielder we traded for?
Against capuano, he could have had a decent first game for us.

I assume that Betts is just up for this game, unless Victorino goes on DL. ShaneO is on the DL, and I still assume Betts is just up for this game. They didn't know whether Cespedes was going to make it tonight, so I suspect that was the reason. With all the tumult, I've lost track of who's on the 25 man roster.

Cespedes just did a press conference. He's in the park and warmed up. No reason not to start him.

With all the tumult, I've lost track of who's on the 25 man roster. I know, it's a very different team than on July 30th. In fact this team seems to have changed more over the last two days, than it did over the offseason.

No need to have Ranauado throw any curveballs there. Bad job by Ross.

Nice Start for Ranauado, way to go! His fastball looks good!

Well he fields better than Lester, so he has that going for him. Which is nice.

Ranaudo sure getting squeezed. Based on the NESN k-zone, is sure looks like it. But some his curves also seem to be caught in the dirt when they graze the lower half of the NESN zone, so I'm not entirely sure what to think

Tight zone for sure. I thought he struck out Beltran twice.
As long it's for both teams...

Man Craig walked straight into the clubhouse after that. Too many Red Bulls?

Xander looks like a different player at Shortstop, glad he is starting to turn it around.

Awful at bat by Middlebrooks, seems like the same story with him. chases bad pitches.

Home run Middlebrooks, this inning. OK, obviously not this inning for this game...

Xander looks like a different player at Shortstop, glad he is starting to turn it around. Please let it be carved in stone that he started to hit when he was still at 3B.

These walks will kill you, Anthony.

You know damn well if Jeter didn't swing, it's not a strike. C'mon.

Man Ellsbury absolutely flies. Bogaerts made a great play on that, very quick to first.

And for the record I hate Derek Jeter. Whines about every called strike. And the "role model" Yankee Captain is the third best SS on this team yet making a superior SS start at 2nd when they are supposedly in the playoff hunt and every out counts. Yeah, what a team guy.
