Watching the Texas - Seattle game which I have going off to the side while I work. The Mariner broadcaster just ticked off Kyle Seager's out-of-zone play rating, his defensive runs saved, and his UZR for last year, as a postscript to his having won the 2014 gold glove. There were exceptional graphics and a hyper-professional delivery by Dave Sims who has this stuff at his fingertips and makes it sound completely matter-of-fact. Eat your heart out.

I thought Seattle played the Angels yesterday? Thank you, I stand corrected. That's what happens when you're flipping the dial during the MLB network's free week!

Oregon Norm, are the Sox blacked out here in Portland again today? I just signed up for NESN only to discover that the Mariners apparently have territorial rights in Portland.

All the games are going to get blacked out if you only signed up for NESN. You need the MLB package on cable or MLB.tv on computer/other media devices.

I've never subscribed to NESN, Dan, so I can't answer. I do know that MLB network games are blacked out when Seattle is playing, though I do get them on Root sports here in the NW. Here's the MLB Faq about blackouts.

More watching and working. Iglesias smacks a nice double over the leftfielder's head, advancing Avila. They both score on a hit by Kinsler. Really like that kid.

I'm on the west side of CT where NESN isn't part of cable, and MLB.TV blacks out the Red Sox. Only option is the MLB package. Anyone else surprised Romine made it past waivers? I thought he'd be a great pickup www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/04/yankees-outright-austin-romine.html

Are you freaking kidding me mets?
“@dplennon: During Collins media briefing, Alderson reached over reporters and handed card to manager, saying ”Terry, here’s your lineup for tomorrow.“”

In case you forgot, Adrian Gonzalez is a "playa". 3 HRs in 3 Nights.
And unfortunately for me the guy who I considered but didn't select as curent or ex Boston player receiving the most MVP votes. #regret

And another... Still nobody out in the fifth, so he'll probably get a couple shots at four.
9 for 12 with 5 homers.

Agon is as hot as a firecracker ...and one more, three for the night. Add: As others on the board pointed out at the time of the Punto trade, it was absolutely worth it to the Dodgers to bring Gonzalez on board.

Two on, two outs, and he only manages an RBI single up the middle. Gutless.

“@billshaikin: Adrian Gonzalez: 1st player in MLB history to hit 5 HR in team’s first 3 games (Elias).” What a dingerfest, WMB hit one out of the park too. The most amazing thing about this game, however, is not that AGon hit 3 homers. The most amazing thing is how the Dodgers' atrocious baserunning created the final out of the 2nd inning.
