Longoria would have had that.

Lackey getting rocked here in DC. Interesting contrast to Kelly pitching tonight.

Lackey getting rocked here in DC … You know what they say: you get what you pay for.

Am I the only one that thinks Ryan Hanigan's current slash line is awesome: .200/.400/.300

Just imagine how many runs we could have scored off this Karns guy with a normal-sized strike zone.

Hanley's a really good hitter. He gets overanxious last inning and swings pretty wildly at two balls in the dirt, steps out, calms himself down, and lines the next pitch into rightfield for a single.
But, watching Victorino and Craig, I only have one thing to say ... get well soon, Rusney, get well soon.
edit to add: Kelly looks really good. He may not know precisely where his pitches are going, but it's close enough with his stuff and against this team.

Well, at least John Farrell is choosing not-so-critical situations to live out his hit-and-run urges.

OK Cy Kelly, time to show us what you've got.

Gamecast is showing pitches right down the middle of the plate being called balls.

Well, that escalated quickly.

OMG... the first walk given up by Kelly (having thrown only two balls in that PA), he's at 80 pitches or so, and now we get Craig Breslow? You've got to be kidding me, Farrell.

For someone who is a former pitching coach, he makes a lot of weird bullpen moves.

Why do Red Sox pitchers just lose it so quickly?

Bases loaded and no outs-- you need a strikeout pitcher in that situation. And even if you really like Breslow, he sure isn't a strikeout pitcher.

Surprised they brought in Breslow when literally anybody else was available.

Leverage Index for Breslow's first batter: 4.28. I.e. not the situation you should be using him in.

Mujica's thinking "hey, if Koji can get away with 90% splitters, maybe I can too."

If they'd just left Kelly in we'd probably be leading 5-4.
