I am not scientif and go by FEEL. lol. :-) I agree with ALL your points but I still think he will be DFA'd. If you lived in Las Vegas I would bet you lunch :-) You sure seem to be obsessed with Bianchi getting DFA'd. Of course that is what will happen and it would probably be shocking for him not to clear waivers and wind right back in Pawtucket in a few days. Yeah. I get obsessive and things have to make sense to me or i get fixated and try to solve the puzzle. my personality. Kind of like House on the show House MD.

Hanley has been beyond terrible since his return. Yeah how dare he miss two XBHs in a single AB by only a couple of inches each. He's ok now that he has a single that bounced 8 times before going into CF.

Who was it who was saying to not offer Napoli a QO based on the first month of the season? Where are you now?

Crickets all season about Mike Napoli (through May 21: .178/.274/.310/.584) from those predicting that correcting his sleep apnea would significantly boost his performance. Every poster on this board makes correct and incorrect predictions. It's easy to go all crickets when events on the field don't bear out our predictions and then jump into the discussion with a big "I told ya so!" when things go our way. Right? Well this post is ironic 5 hours later. lol

Xander has cut down on his Strikeouts, he has obviously put in the work and it has paid off. ( Thanks Dustin Pedroia)People were calling Pedey our new hitting coach yesterday. I have to admit, I completely missed something here. Anyone have a link to what happened? On the flight back from the west coast he talked to Napoli and showed him some videos of how he was hitting when he was crushing the ball and what he was doing differently now (something with his hands position), next game Nap corrects his approach and hits a homer (and since then has been en fuego). As far as the Xander thing he worked with Xander heavily in the off-season. People are questioning why Chilli Davis didn't do these things, particularly look at video of Napoli.

Batting Lefty vs. Lefty.
Hopefully this is a thing for the foreseeable future.

Say whatever you want about "Koji should pitch if he warms up", but this is stupid to pitch him two days in a row with 5 run leads.

Uehara pitched yesterday in a non-save situation and now again today.
Seriously Farrell, why do you have to be so stupid?

I don't really know what to say other than yes if he's warming up you should let him pitch as been mentioned a gazillion times. And the game was much closer a few minutes ago.

I would have let Miley stay in. I also would have let Wright stay in last night.

And people are making way too much of that story in my opinion. Especially the 'why not Chili' angle.

I fail to see the logic in that statement. I see this as a variant of sunk cost theory: the warm-up has already been spent, nothing can be done about that; why compound the cost by then pitching him in the game? Surely any member of a MLB bullpen can be tasked to protect a five run lead. And, should one or more falter, well, your closer is warmed up.

If I tell you a guy has a .667 OBP and 2.000 SA over some stretch of time, you're going to stop and think for a moment and go, oh, right, he's 2/3 so far today with a 2B and HR.
But that was Napoli in this series: 5/9, 3 BB, 2B, 4 HR, .556 / .667 / 2.000. So his .333 / .333 / .583 versus the Rangers was just a warmup.
Meanwhile, Miley and Leon put to rest the notion that they don't work well together.

Great outing for Miley. He had the worm killer working overtime... He actually had just a .480 GB rate in this game. The last 6 balls in play were on the ground, but before that it was 6 on the ground (including 1 bunt) and 13 in the air. And his breakdown on those 13 balls in the air, flies-liners-popups, was (this is too cute) 6-4-3.

These past two games have been oh so refreshing. Still things to work on, but seems like the energy level had picked up after fridays embarrassment
