You will likely have to cut n paste that to your browser. Note: Proboards might have fixed the issue, it just worked for me. First time in a while. I had been getting the message that something called paperjam couldn't find the MLB links. Note2: This time it didn't. I get redirected to: www.pepperjamnetwork.com/tracking/errorI keep seeing people post this, but I never have an issue with those mlb links. I'm using Firefox. My main issue is when people post tweets that I never see unless I quote reply, go to BBCode and then copy and paste the link in a new tab. That's with all adblocking and tracker blocking turned off for this site.. The entire internet seems to be having huge issues with all of the ads and trackers and websites trying to get around ad blocking and tracker blocking. I can barely see anything at nfl.com for example. It's tiring.

I never have issues with tweets, never have issues at other sites, only have issues with MLB links here at SoxProspects and I'm always redirected. It's only been a problem for a month or so. Same situation with both computers. In my case, it could be a Philippines issue but if I click an MLB link from other sites, there isn't a problem. ADD: I have AD Blocker Plus running on both Browsers. I don't think it's an AD Blocker issue.

Mike Antonellis @seadogsradio 14m14 minutes ago I’m on the call with @pawsox Voice @willflemming for Red Sox vs. Twins today. Listen at mlb.com seadogsradio.mlblogs.com/2016/03/10...sox-game-today/ … Mike Antonellis is the Radio/TV voice of the SeaDogs. He's one of my favorite announcers at any level. LOL, jimed might need to cut n paste it (If he can see it).

Back to back HRs for Price. Worst contract ever.

Back to back HRs for Price. Worst contract ever. Yep, but they were to perennial home run champs Edwin Escobar and Kurt Suzuki, so I'm willing to forgive these.

Old friend Heiker Meneses is in the game for the Twins. I had hoped he would eventually be a coach in the Sox system.

The pepperjam thing is apparently an mlb.com problem. A Google search reveals that the same problem has cropped up at target.com, deals.woot.com, breazy.com, nowinstock.net, and numerous other sites.
I don't know why it happens for some users but not others. I'm getting it consistently with Firefox and W10.

Was at the Sox game today in Ft. Myers. The Sox had mostly the presumed opening day line-up but the offense made less noise than the butterfly flitting about. Credited with 5 hits, only one was hard hit...a David Murphy liner to right-center. Two were semi-bloops, one an infield hit and another that got by the 3B man. Conversely the Twins stung the ball early and often with three HRs to left.
As reported Price gave up back to backs.
From my vantage point beyond the RF foul pole it was impossible to assess breaking pitches. I relied on the board for velocities and pitch diagnoses.
Price was 92-94,cutter 88-89, Ross 93, Varvaro 93-94, Pat Light 94-96 in his first inning (gave up 2 runs) then 92-94 in the second. Light was said to throw a splitter 88-90 in addition to his FB....but no real off-speed. If it was a split, it did not fool anyone or get swings and misses. He was hit hard.
For the Twins, Santana was at 94-95, Berrios 94-96, Alex Meyer 95-98, and old friend Ryan Pressly surprisingly to me, at 93-96. Through the first 7 innings the Sox only had an infield hit. Marco Hernandez looks a lot bigger than I thought. A late replacement, he had a hit the LF dove for but dropped.
Panda looked staggeringly off-balance on many swings.....drawing a number of derisive comments from nearby patrons.
Mookie made a couple of nice OF plays coming in on liners.

He can take a seat next to Panda on the bench. At least we have a few No.1 type starter replacements ready to take his place.

So let's note that this is a Baltimore reporter repeating a MLBTR article that passed along a Pete Abe note that Rodriguez wasn't pitching yet. Plus, there's the fact that his "issue" in 2014 was with the other knee, so completely specious reference.

I'm not a doctor, but the fact that the knee popped out while he was pitching is a bit worrisome, even if his spikes did catch. The hope would be that this isn't chronic. The team is wise in planning to start the season without him. It can't be said often enough, there's no such thing as too much starting pitching depth.
The Sox used 12 different starters last year (that includes the ones we'd like to forget - I'm looking at you Craig Breslow!). There were 11 different starters in 2014, and 11 in 2013 - a championship season. Look these numbers up for yourselves, this is the way baseball works.
It's the next man up, and there's a few out there at this point. Safe to say that Wright isn't going anywhere, and Elias looms larger all the time. The depth looks very much like a strong point for this team. We're getting the very first look at how that plays out going forward.

Wasn't when he was pitching; he was shagging flies or doing some kind of defensive drill when his spikes caught as he was chasing a pop up. There's no indication of anything chronic, afaik.

Shaw is having an excellent defensive day at 3B. I'm guessing you will see it mentioned in articles tomorrow.
In the heresy category, Craig has looked pretty decent every time I've seen him.
So far all of the Sox pitchers have looked decent. Wright, Marmol & Ramirez. . . Nice play/throw by Hernandez, stretch by Travis.
LOL, this should be interesting. Ramos ran for Marrero and seems like all the travel infielders have already been in the game. Maybe they brought Coyle.
Yup, Coyle. Mendez seemed to have location issues but his stuff looks good. If the Sox hadn't subbed LaMarre for Bradley, the score would still be 0-0. Mendez was mostly fastballs upstairs, hard curve downstairs.
Travis just hit a 9th inning two out 96MPH fastball (a meatball) no doubter to dead center field. 1-1 middle 9th. The ball got out in a hurry.
Shepherd is going to be a very big boy.
Game over. Coyle botched a double play ball, shepherd walked a couple.

It is frustrating paying big bucks for NESN which is showing minimum Sox games, while having to watch the feeds of other teams on MLBN late nite or early AM time slots, if at all. Knowing Shaw is continuing to field 3B well, for example, is important info, and even that Travis is quick and powerful enough to punish a 96mph meatball and continue to make tough plays at 1B well is heartening.

So I'm pretty much assuming Eduardo starts the year on the dl which opens up another roster spot (even if they retroactive the date, cutting the time on the dl in half if they need to).
That opens up a spot. I think Elias has the lead spot in this regard until the team needs a 5th starter by April 13th (I'm pretty sure that was the date of the Sox needing a 5th starter by then).
If Eduardo isn't ready by that time, I think Wright would be the guy to get a spot start or two with Elias remaining in the bullpen.
I'm also assuming that Kelly slides into the 4th spot in the rotation by the beginning of the season if he gets a rotation spot.

Starting to buy into Sam Travis a bit more. I've never been down on him or anything, but just in wait and see mode because the bar is so high for his defensive profile ... but his swing is pretty sweet.
