These awful pitchers are going to get Benintendi traded. Absolutely. I can see the DD plan from here. Trade 3-4 prospects for a starter (Moncada, Espinoza, Benitendi, doesn't matter who), then give $200m to Strasburg or some other FA.

I'm assuming you have to special order a belt that big. They can't have one more just laying around can they? Maybe he plays the whole game without a belt on. Hope he doesn't split his pants because looking at that big butt would not be pleasant.

Today's lineup: Betts RF Pedroia 2B Bogaerts SS Shaw 1B Ramirez DH Sandoval 3B Holt LF Castillo CF Swihart C Porcello RHP Castillo over Young because he's a better fielder I guess. Or because they don't care about screwing his swing up vs Dickey. Or because Castillo can't hit a baseball traveling faster than 85 mph, anyway, so let him hit against the knuckleball

Yea I guess a sample size of 3 is better then a sample size of 1 that some on this board use. Holt has game of his life and quick start and you think that proves you right? Unless Holt has all of a sudden found Brady Anderson secret power, this proves nothing. Nice try though, will we still get updates when he goes hittless for 2-3 games? Nah but I can give you updates whenever Castillo goes hitless for 3 games if you like. BTW, looking over that thread I figured out what your problem is - you seem to be under the misapprehension that "bWAR" stands for "batting WAR". (Hint: it doesn't.) Holt's bat plays exactly the same in the IF as it does in the OF, it's just his defense and the positional adjustment that project differently... Maybe you should spend a lot more time reading my post. You clearly only read a few to come out with crap like that. I clearly know rwar/bwar is Baseball reference war as compared to fwar for fangraph war. So if he plays 140 games in OF and 2B and let's say he has a 0 defensive war at both positions. Your saying his war would be the same? The replacement level bat in OF is much higher then at 2B. His limited power means based on war calculations his bat plays better in infield then OF.

As if that pitch wasn't stupid enough for the first time, he throws the exact same pitch. Porcello is about as bad as a pitcher can be right now.

How soon will we see Owens/Johnson in the rotation? Or, see our beloveds shipped away?

Great, it took all of four games before the gameday threads became unreadable.

Has there been a single GO for Porcello this game? There should've been one but Pablo threw the ball away ... maybe there was one other? Can't remember

Pablo is killing it. 2Ks and an error and a belt that wasn't big enough for his fat.

I'm about ready to dump Sandoval and just eat that contract. Porcello can at least eat innings.

Just came in from working in the yard and I watched Castillo's double. Already 4-4... man somebody put a rabbit in that ball.
