By allowing Steven WrightJerry Remy on the rosterin the broadcast booth, the Red Sox are asking you to not watch them play every fifth day. Only very minor alterations were needed to turn this statement into one I agree with!

Pinch hitting for Shaw there was dumb. They already had the lead and he's easily their best defensive third baseman. Shaw also hits lefties pretty well so you don't even have that to fall back on. If you wanted to pinch hit then it should have been for Holt. Not that I wanted that either. But you don't take your best defensive 3b out of the game with a lead. Better defensively at 3b than Holt? Brock also made a nice play in 8th at 3b.

Today's lineup: Betts RF Pedroia 2B Bogaerts SS Shaw 1B Ramirez DH Sandoval 3B Holt LF Castillo CF Swihart C Porcello RHP Castillo over Young because he's a better fielder I guess. Or because they don't care about screwing his swing up vs Dickey.

It's also easier to make a barehand play on turf than grass.

Some more great baserunning by Xander last night (1st to 3rd, score from 1st on 2B). He's not fast/quick, but very heady

It's like Dombrowski is putting all of Cherrington atrocious contracts out there together so we can all remember just how atrocious he was!

Sandoval actually broke his belt on the first song and miss. He tried to fix it but he eventually just pulled it off and threw it to the bat boy.
Thanks for the effort Pablo.
oops... Posted 20 seconds late and minus the video link.
Nice throwing error since then.

Porcello's batted balls exit velocity should be in 150 mph?
