Guys, I'm concerned about my health. I actually...don't...hate...Steven Wright. I was actually about to call out the haters from last year. Good for you.

Just a couple of innings rest, he's been in every game since the start of the season.

I wouldn't worry about it. They showed him on the bench cheering people on and he wasn't getting any medical attention. Prob just need to give our champion Chris young some PT.

Wow, Barnes has hit 98 quite a few times tonight. I've always rooted pretty hard for him.

I'm not a hater either, I hope he wins the Cy. I've just never liked watching knuckleballers. LOL, I'm old, I didn't like watching Wilhelm (one of the greatest pitchers ever), the Niekros, Wilber Wood, Charlie Hough, Wakefield or Dickey either. That's a pretty decent group of pitchers.

Wow, wright had the knuckler moving tonight. Great to see him getting some run support.
Shaw had a good eye at the plate tonight.
Holt probably needs a day off.

I'm with philsbosoxfan on this. I'm happy Wright is doing so well, but frustrated watching the catcher constantly running to the backstop to retrieve a good knuckler gone loco. Feel sorry for Hanny, having to put down that sign not knowing where he'll be in a few seconds.

Johnny Carson: "You now have a knuckleball pitcher on your staff, Do you have any problems catching a knuckler ?" Bob Uecker: " No, it's easy. You just wait for it to stop rolling and pick it up."

It's amazing how good the Braves (as they head towards 100 plus losses) can make another team look.
The Red Sox could find themselves in first place tomorrow strangely enough.
The one really good thing about playing a team like the Braves is that the Sox have actually won a couple of laughers two nights in a row after playing a slew of close games in which they burned out Uehara and Tazawa. It was as if they couldn't win without having those guys in every night.
Win some easy games and those guys get a rest so it puts them in position to win a couple of close games later, thereby extending winning streaks.
I used to get annoyed when the Sox would win 15-2 but lose 2-1 the next day but honestly win big you get a better chance to win the close games that follow because the best part of your pen gets rested. This definitely bodes well for the Sox.
Another thing that bodes well. David Ortiz hasn't hit a home run since the 2nd game of the season. That's 18 games that have been played since he has last homered. That's a long time for Ortiz. He's overdue, and when he hits his homers, they come in bunches, so we could see a slew of homers coming off his bat over the next couple of weeks.
Considering he's still tearing the cover off the ball without leaving the ballpark, and he's due to go yard, that means this guy is going to have one of the most sensational swan songs of all time.

The starting 3B, SS, and 2B on this team have wRC+ of 171, 113 and 154, respectively. That's pretty awesome.
