Well that was impressive.
Now if only we could get some offense.

Did we get the right Chris Young or did some other team pick up lefty-killer Chris Young? Hes getting warmed up for tomorrows nationally televised game, where he(0-7) and Buchholz(0-5) will go for their 1st win as starters...on May 4th

JBJ refuses to hit anything softly right now.

JBJ refuses to hit anything softly right now. Contrary to Chris Young...who just refuses to hit anything at all.

That's just great hitting by Abreu. You can't blame any pitcher for a pitch like that.

Honestly....I didnt like using Tazawa here.....I would have preferred Barnes....who has been throwing the ball well lately.

Shame on Farrell for not hooking Taz after the Frazier walk.

Any time a reliever gives up a run it means the manager screwed up.

Any time a reliever gives up a run it means the manager screwed up. Is that directed towards me? Cause that isnt what I implied at all...if it was.

Shame on Farrell for not hooking Taz after the Frazier walk. I can't believe Farrell has him stay in this long... You figure Taz would have a shorter leash. The Sox have had a good run lately though, you can't win them all. Lovullo time?

There's really no reasonable argument that Barnes would have been better than Tazawa there. Why? Do you need an analytical reason? Or are you not capable of other people having opinions? I mean, for crying out loud.

Well, before the inning started I thought that bringing in Layne to face Eaton then bringing in Tazawa to face Rollins and Abreu was the correct thing to do. But, for some reason, Layne is not used properly plus I stopped trying to understand Farrell's bullpen management a long time ago.

Barnes just put a 99er on the black for that strikeout.

Never thought I'd see Barnes throwing harder than Kimbrel....99mph fastball painted on the outside corner. Impressive.

Can't believe I'm going to defend Farrell here. But he's not done anything cringe-worthy of late. Bringing in Tazawa was a reasonable move.
Also, Barnes.

Why? Do you need an analytical reason? Or are you not capable of other people having opinions? I mean, for crying out loud. Taz has a track record. Hes a great pitcher...I love having him on my team.....but it was just my opinion that Barnes had been pitching well....we are already losing the ballgame...so give him a chance at a higher leverage inning. What followed by staff was bull****.

People can't actually be blaming Farrell for whatever happened with Tazawa there. I know I'm reading that but my brain doesn't want to accept that information.
