Hanigan batting behind him lets the Indians give JBJ nothing to hit all day...

This is why hitting streaks don't usually last long. Doesn't help when your manager bats a .180 hitter behind the hottest hitter in baseball. It's a JF strategy to jump start Hanigan.

Really can't see the argument for allowing the C to hit behind Bradley again. Tomorrow we'll see

Hanigan batting behind him lets the Indians give JBJ nothing to hit all day… Maybe JF is out to debunk the debunking of the myth of lineup protection?

If Joe Kelly could turn into a serviceable #3, it would be a gift from the Gods.

Kelly's pounding the bottom of the zone really well today.

Can you imagine an OF of Betts/Bradley/Benintendi?

I think every year, Mookie will have bad luck, and then all his hard contact will start falling in once it finally regresses to the mean. We only need a name for this annual occurrence.

Is it wrong to make this his last batter, regardless the outcome?

Why doesn't Willis tell Kelly to pitch from the windup with the bases loaded?

Hanigan saved Kelly's ass there.
Ugly inning, but he escaped it.

See, Kelly was just mimicking Bauer - walk everyone to get to the catcher's spot

Is it wrong to make this his last batter, regardless the outcome? I'd leave him in until he allows another runner.

Could just be that Kelly gets some kind of weird thrill from livin' on the edge..

JBJ leading off next inning might be the only way he gets a chance to hit today.

I know it isn't scientific....my stuff rarely is.....but to me what happened there was he lost his concentration. I am not blaming him.....that often is the difference between the greats in any occupation...but I give him credit for buckling down and getting out of it. The hitters are so good in this league, it requires a level of concentration/execution that most don't have.

The hitters are so good in this league, it requires a level of concentration/execution that most don't have. It's not concentration. It's that he always, always, always has trouble pitching with runners on base because he's not good pitching from the stretch. This goes back to St. Louis.
