Anyone know why Chavis was 0-0 before getting replaced?

Devers looks like he's tired of A ball. I hope he keeps it up. It sure looks like he finally is getting the success he was projected for. It's good he struggled and worked his way out of it. That is going to be a necessary skill for him going forward.

Benintendi hits a sharp ground ball that Moncada gobbles up with a quick move to his right ... camera catches Benintendi jabbering at Moncada after the play and Moncada smiling broadly.

Benny Baseball 0-2 so far leading off for USA. Including a nice backhand stop by Moncada throwing him out at first, they had a laugh about it. Moncada in the 3 hole for the World.
Bregman is the real deal, 2-2 with 2B & 3B. Does he or Correa move to 3rd? That infield could insane soon with Reed, Altuve, Correa and Bregman.

gorgeous oppo swing from Moncada as he smacks a line drive single to LF
EDIT: Steals second and advances to third on throwing error. Showing all the tools here.

Moncada singles to left on a nice inside out swing, promptly steals 2nd and advances to 3rd on the throwing error.
ADD: apparently my Sunday night typing skills are just a touch slow...

Daren Willman @darenw 7m7 minutes ago Yoan Moncado had a top speed of 21.2 MPH on his steal... That's moving.
JJ Cooper @jjcoop36 8m8 minutes ago San Diego, CA Yoan Moncada is fun on the basepaths. Steals second, goes to third on throwing error. Since July 1, 2015 Moncada is 80-of-91 on SBs.

I'm no scout, but Josh Naylor doesn't look very athletic.

Margot just made a hell of catch in center. Wow. Regardless of the bat, he's gonna provide a lot of value with the glove in CF at Petco.

Just noticed what Huegel posted regarding Pennington and batter upset at each of jawing at each other after the guy he hit. Pretty sure I posted here last year after one of the games went to at The Fort when he was only doing 1-2 inning stints how pee'd he was in the dugout about getting removed and not normally pee'd, like when a guy does for getting pulled, but personally cause he had to go to the BP and finish his pitch count there. Guess he wasn't quite there and another inning would have ran over more than likely, but he was really upset about it.

"Short, compact swing" gets tossed around a lot, but man, that swing was really short and compact, and still absolutely crushed. Very encouraging to see that from his lesser side of the plate.

Now that was a Fenway swing! Get him a few games at third because he is ready!
