It's the most lopsided pitching matchup in our favor, Pineda vs. Wright being a lopsided advantage for Boston is not something I expected. Here is my fearless prediction. The Yankees are going to give up on Michael Pineda. He'll get moved to a home park where being a right-handed fly ball pitcher isn't death, and have a lot of success. Maybe even compete for the Cy Young Award. The narrative won't be that Yankee Stadium is a miserable place for right-handed fly ball pitchers, but that Pineda lacked the intestinal fortitude and requisite mystique to pitch in the Bronx.

Would be a great lift to this team to sweep the Yankees hopes away this weekend and watch them sell off it all.

For everyone's sanity I hope Pomeranz gives up <4 runs.

I'm going to quit cheering for Ortiz because he's not home grown.

I remember when that trade was made and I thought it was such a steal for the Yankees (whenever you hear people rationalize less than stellar performance by a prospect with "they're just bored with the minors" you know they're overhyped), but Pineda got hurt and has never really recovered his rookie year (3.2 fWAR) level

Looks like this coup in Turkey is not going to be successful.

Looks like this coup in Turkey is not going to be successful. Gonna be a day of reckoning for the folks who tried the coup, if that's the case.

That strikeout pitch to McCann was amazing to watch in slow-mo.

The Red Sox are obviously so much superior to the Yankees.
And BTW, that was pretty impressive from Xander - how did he keep it fair?

I wonder if Mr. Skydiver and the Steinblubber boys really have it in them to be sellers. There is so much ego there, I just don't see it.

Terrible throw by Ramirez...it's Carlos Beltran running, along with Brian McCann. Should have been out of the inning.
