So if he makes it to the majors and rakes, can we call him "Baby Faced Assassin"?

Man we are gonna score a billion runs in this series. If you've just activated an inexplicable team batting slump .....

Been to about 10 ballparks around the country, Wrigley (and Fenway) just once each. Wrigley is my favorite park and I found the fans more unconditionally supporting their team, irrespective of standing than any. Sorry Sox fans, but during this golden era we've morphed more than halfway toward the spoiled Yankee fans I grew up with in that regard. Given their loyalty, and how long it's been, and Theo there, as a baseball fan I root for the Cubs to finally do it, there's even (incredibly) ambivalence if the sox face them.

No need for that, Maddon is absolutely never winning a World Series. You can book it. Maddox's hipster vibe and the fact he carries an attitude like he is always the smartest guy in the room is incredibly annoying. I also lost respect for him with all the BS he pulled when he managed the Rays and the various beanball wars with the Red Sox, including attempting to hit Daubach multiple times in one game, hitting Crisp after he stole a base the prior game and hitting so many Red Sox players one game that Nixon "lost control of his bat" which went out by the pitcher. I hope the Cubs win the WS some day as long as Maddon is out of the picture. I agree with everything you said, I'd just like to add that Maddon is so overrated. He folds under pressure and you can bet anything that his teams will always fold as well. At least this Cubs team isn't filled with soft players like Evan Longoria and BJ Upton, so they might stand a chance once they kick him out.

Betts is still not walking as much as I'd like, but he's hitting the ball crazy hard. Looks like the rare player who actually can consistently hit .300+.

There's no way this jamoke is better than Berrios.

There's no way this jamoke is better than Berrios. I think you could say that about pretty much every pitcher on the Twins' roster.

There should be like a mercy rule here, save the players the effort and just let them rest and go to bed early because this one is over and it's the 3rd inning.

Of course, Wright IS our all-star pitcher. His pitch count is good thru 3. We could use him to give us a long outing tonight -- or we could score 20 runs and then maybe even Farrell would trust bringing Buchholz in.

And it's not like there's a service-time reason for it either, unless they're planning on keeping him in Rochester until the middle of May 2017.

There's a pretty non negligible difference between tonight and last night in that the Giants are probably the best team in baseball and the Twins are probably the worst team ever. I'd let Noe Ramirez pitch 6 innings just for the heck of it.

Love the fire with which he plays the game. Always been a fan. I appreciate what he contributed and I'm glad he got a ring here. EDIT: Also, what a BS double that was that led to that run.

I honestly can not fathom a reason why Ryan Hanigan is on this team over Christian Vazquez. Vazquez isn't great but he is much better at everything than Hanigan.

In some ways, these Twins remind me of the 2014 Red Sox; some very good young talent (Sano, Kepler, Buxton?) going through some serious growing pains.
But their pitching . . .

At this point, it's pretty hard to conclude anything other than I was wrong about Bradley offensively
