Nice stuff there by Porcello, nice to see a pitcher remain relatively unfazed after last night's horror show.

Escaped with only allowing 2 runs. Although his pitch count is 51 through 3. Unless he has some quick innings, will probably need the bullpen for at least 3 innings.

Rays TV just called Mookie and Trout the best two players in baseball.

Unbelievable how bad of a baserunner Hanley is. Baseball intelligence will never be his strength. I've loved his effort and attitude this year, but that just is what it is. I'd suppose to go on contact, or not, was called from the dugout. Do you know otherwise?

This conversation is hard to listen to but the girl seems incredibly mature.

If the Rays are smart they'll walk CY.

Does every other manager now call him " Mookie bleeping Betts"?

The Papi - Mookie 3-4 is reminiscent of the Papi - Manny days, except Mookie fields, runs, and throws just about on par with his offense. My goodness.

Something I've been wondering lately is if DD goes into this offseason looking for a RHH CINF on a 2/3 year deal. Literally a Chris Young type for 3B. Despite the injury reduced sample size, CY is having a pretty solid year doing what he was brought in for and just about all of our corner infielders are weaker vs LHP, save for Hanley. Obviously, Hill was brought in for this very purpose for the remainder of this season, but judging by what we've seen so far, he won't be that guy going forward. I think a vet lefty killer is the perfect fit for this team. Its a place where we can afford a bit of a decline over the deal, because in theory we need the most from them at the beginning of the deal, platooning with Shaw/Sandoval/Holt, what have you, and then splitting time with Moncada in the future, with Yoan slowly stealing more and more of the playing time as his game matures. I haven't really looked at who exactly falls into this CY-style 3B prototype category, though I think I've seen Eric identify Danny Valencia as one of the guys he is/was interested in adding to the team.

Valencia can hit as Billy Butler can attest to. I like the idea of finding a CY CINF.

Isn't it time to start thinking about Porcello winning the Cy Young this year? I am looking at pitcher stats and he is going to have 20 wins, in all probability. His K/BB ratio is great. WHIP is top 5 in the league. Less that a hit an inning. Most likely 200 innings.
There really isn't anyone else that is that much better, if any at all.
