I wonder what will become of Travis Shaw? He'll have some really good years in Oakland.

Ugh. 2nd & 3rd, one out. TB has us right where they want us. Positive thinking...fellow traveler....give it a shot. OK. Thank goodness Pomeranz has a pitch count that might allow him to go one more inning. I presume Orodizzi is done. Whoever wanted the Sox to run up his pitch count, there you go. Boy, notwithstanding last night, Shaw has been scuffling. He really has nothing to say if the Sox make some kind of move that lessens his PT (which won't keep him from saying something, but that's another story.)

That Ortiz-Odorizzi confrontation is why I love baseball. Lots of decisions that have to be made, key point of the game, good players matching up, ending with good plays by the batter and the defense ... fun stuff

Everyone knows that Maile has to be the last batter, right?

Wow. Didn't see that coming. So unfortunate for Drew...but that's baseball. Need to get it back in the bottom of the inning.

So predictable and yet so terrible. Just one strike needed against a terrible hitter and this team just can't do it. That's inexcusable.

Everyone knows that Maile has to be the last batter, right? Well at least JF got this right. But I jinxed us.

Matt Barnes can get DFA'd tomorrow. Thanks. No way he can be allowed into any important spot.

Anyone else suffer from a heart attack every time Barnes comes in to pitch?

Because of course. edit: And Barnes coming in to face the top of the order. Lol. Yeah....Barnes wouldn't be my first choice here. I hope he gets out of it.

There's no way Matt Barnes can be on this team in September. Major league hitters are simply unchallenged by anything he throws. His best weapon is a pin-straight fastball that any hitter can sit on.

Some guy named Luke Mailey burned the Sox. Bucky Dent relieved, thank god this game doesn't have the same importance...

Hope AB can make it back soon....We need to start platooning JBJ with Chris Young. Young in left v LHP with AB in center.
