Would have to be happy with 5 IP from ERod at this point, as long as no more runs.

Wow, something clicked for ERod after he hit Kiermaier.

Vazquez looked great in his first two at bats.

This is what Vazquez can do - rip hits to left on mistakes. This is what for me Hannigan cannot do. I would be very happy to have CV and Sandy as the playoff roster catchers.

Playoff implication games
White Sox up on Cleveland 1-0 in the 7th. Blue Jays up on Yankees 1-0 in 6th. Royals up on Tigers early. Os up on Dbacks 2-1 early. Texas and Oakland start at 4.

Wow. ERod's not having any of this BABIP nonsense. Just strike everybody out.

What a shame that ERod has so many pitches and will have to come out of the game after 5. He struck out 9 guys and walked 1 since the HBP to Kiermaier and 0 balls in play.

Just read a Tweet from Brian MacPherson : "two more strikeouts for Shaw today. He's hitting .163 with a .204 OBP and 12 strikeouts in his last 54 plate appearances."
I knew it's been bad, but i didn't realize it was that bad.

I have no idea if Vazquez is just framing great or this umpire is the worst of all time.

Will the Rays ever put a ball in play again? Close to two hours since the last time they did.

Whoa, just tuning in ... Sox have 15 Ks after 6 innings?!

The team record for strikeouts in a game is 20 in case anyone wondered. Only need 6 in last 3 innings to set a new one.
Edit - now 5 in last 8 outs.
now 4 in last 7 outs.

Oddly, the record for most Ks in a 9-inning game by a team is the same as by a single pitcher: 20. Sox now up to 16 in the 6th inning.
edit: JimEd beat me to it, but now up to 17. Zowee.

Wow. I know this is basically an AAA lineup + Longoria, but still. This is pretty amazing.
