Betances looked UGLY walking the park - 4 BBs in a row - to push TOR > NYY, 7-6, in the top of the 8th, w the NYY trying to Win after falling behind early, 5-0... He's rocking an 8.56 BB/9 now. He may go all Daniel Bard on them heh. Also, Pineda HR aand BABIP problems are back and I'm expecting a bunch of their lineup to regress to their mediocre true talent level. They lost and I hope they continue losing so I don't have to hear about all that baby bombers crap.

Seems like an opportune time to troll the comments section over at River Ave Blues. I kid (but wouldn't hold it against you if you took me seriously).

Most of the Yankees are already falling back to Earth from their unsustainable levels. The exception is Aaron Judge who continues to put up numbers which are unprecedented in the history of baseball measured against his career minor league stats . And the batting average is even stranger than the home runs. Not to mention the guy is 25 years old.

He hits the ball harder than anyone.

Got to love the Yankee bullpen. The Judge thing gets weirder by the day. Unprecedented in the history of baseball. Not even comparable to the leap Bonds made. Just off the wall and inexplicable.

I have posted several times that his half season is unprecedented in the history of baseball. One reason I have used those precise terms is in hopes that someone will set out to prove me wrong. I'm still waiting. I haven't researched the question and could be wrong. What lies beyond an outlier? The guy is 25. He's on pace for one of the top three or four seasons in the history of baseball with nothing in his past to suggest this.

Juiced balls and heavy home/road split. He's hitting 100 points higher at home and has 21 of his 30 homers there.
He's having a wonderful season, but while his team may play in the House that Jeter Built, it's playing like the House that Was Built for Judge.

Freeland for Colorado hasn't allowed a hit through 8 and is at 116 pitches.
edit - lost it with one out in the 9th on a Melky Cabrera single with an EV of 76 mph. Baseball is so fascinating. I love watching no-hitters.
Probably best for a rookie to not go much higher than 126 pitches though.

Is this the thread where we discuss Kopech's 55 walks in 78 innings? Is you-know-who still around or was he finally banned?

Judge's HR/FB has finally started to come down, but still at almost 42%. The .426 BABip is wild though.

Am I the only who saw Michael Pineda has a torn UCL and is expected to have TJS?

Asuaje killing it so far, ever since San Diego stuck him at second base for good. 3-4 tonight batting second, and .329 for the season. Less than 90 PAs, so it's early, but he looks as if he knows what he's doing.

Sick and tired of umps!
Also, Adrian Beltre is what baseball should be all about.
