Fair point, I wasn't comparing the dollars spent on IFA vs Rule 4 because the Red Sox don't have to and my reading comprehension is poor. Every allowed dollar on both IFA and Rule 4 should be spent because it's all going to more than be worth it no matter how many busts there are.

This class doesn't stop growing....and VTSox, you don't stop finding these guys. I feel like you'll be updating this thread in 2021.

Yessir, VTSox is a beast at finding these late signings.
I wonder if other teams are signing this many late guys? Is this a new inefficiency the Sox are taking advantage of, or at least trying to exploit? The kids are so young, maybe 9-12 months after their initial signing period some kids explode/develop/grow/find their way to a baseball field where scouts are and if teams keep looking for them, maybe some gems are uncovered?
Or maybe a lot of teams are signing a bunch of these kids late as they get found/grow/develop/etc. It's just interesting. At this age it's so hard to project. It's a numbers game to some extent.

Anytime I see that there's a new comment in this thread, I'm clicking with the hope of finding some news linking the Sox to Victor Victor Mesa heh

Royman Blanco and Beiker Pineda were signed in 2017, but are only now added to the DSL 2 roster.
Probably were either suspended or injured.

Aah it appears Blanco already has converted to pitching.
