Feel free to deploy your best bullpen weapon who has thrown three pitches in the last week.

Great. Abad in the highest leverage situation in the game.

Wouldn't it have made sense for Barnes to pitch a couple or three days in a row and then give up his appeal? Asking for a friend. I'll hang up and listen.

What a idiot that Cubs hitter is. He was throwing junk all at bat and he chased it.

Great. Abad in the highest leverage situation in the game. You mean you don't want the worst pitcher on the roster in the game right now?

Haha baseball is hilarious. Abad threw LITERALLY nothing out there and got 2 strikeouts.

So we're keeping Abad in for the ninth right?
I'm at Fenway and the number of Cubs fans here is actually crazy. Cool atmosphere.

I just don't get a guy throwing 102 getting hurt on weak sliders. Rizzo was out in front of his 102 mph fastball like it was a changeup. There's nothing in Kelly's resume to indicate he's a good pitcher. Fair. So then... how does a guy who throws 102 have so hittable a fastball? Mostly rhetorical. I get it: good look from hand, not a ton of movement, mediocre command. But it is just stunning. He's a smidge this side of Chapman for velocity but plays like he throws 89-91.

Fantastic stuff, best part was the amazing save by Kimbrel. Can't be easy facing that part of the Cubs line-up with the game on the line up by a single run, but he looked incredible.

That was one brutal game to watch.
Pom gets burn time and time again by trying to go up and in. He doesn't have the stuff that hitters will miss up at the letters, especially early in counts.
Not looking forward to Wright starting tomorrow.

Not looking forward to Wright starting tomorrow. Pomeranz just pitched a quality start. Sure a lot of what you say is true but he's got quality stuff. I loved watching today's game, it was entertaining by two of the better teams in baseball. Wright could easily pitch a complete game shut out or give up 5 bombs tomorrow against a powerful lineup. Flip a coin. I have more faith he will turn it around somewhat though.

Good thing Arietta has been a crappy 1st inning pitcher lately.
