Lin has been my binky for about 2 months. I'm so happy with him and will be sad if they replace him with a trade.

The best part about Lin has been that I haven't read one Travis Shaw post since he's been here.

JBJ should be flipped with Moreland in the lineup. He is the best man for the cleanup spot.

You've got to give Marrero credit. He is trending his slash line in the right direction, while filling in capably on defense. And Linsanity? I mean what can you say. If the team wins the world series, those guys will be in line for rings and playoff shares, and it won't be ceremonial. They have been instrumental in the teams success.

It is weird seeing Pomeranz blow 92 by guys while seeing batters fight off 102 from Kelly. Must be that whole spin rate thing going on.

It is weird seeing Pomeranz blow 92 by guys while seeing batters fight off 102 from Kelly. Must be that whole spin rate thing going on. It's true. It's weird how his fastball can look hard, too, even at 91. But they probably also know he's got a curve he's willing to throw any time. Messes with their timing. I'm amazed by his command. His walks have come on pitches that could easily be strikes. He is throwing some really wickedly located fastballs. Edit: feels like I totally jinxed him. Sorry. I should always save comments for after the game.

My fault. Left to walk the dog, 0-0 and Sox bats looking so-so. Just came back - 5-0. Started watching - 5-2 and counting.
Thinking I should turn this game off (but I won't!)

Gee thowing 8 fastballs in a row isn't working. I'm very surprised. Who came up with that strategy?

Throw the damn cutter more than 3 times a game or go get TJS.

Throw the damn cutter more than 3 times a game or go get TJS. Maybe he's saving his cutters for the playoffs.

Not many splitters thrown for strikes. Nice.

Tzu-Wei Lin has incredibly fast hands and a compact swing to go with it. I love it.

If JF managed a starter like Cash just did with Odorizzi, this thread would have 10 pages of posts filled with anger.

A groundout rbi is better than a strikeout. Not bad Vazquez.

I've always thought Odorizzi has been quite overrated. Especially when his splitter isn't working.
Glad to see that the team slump didn't last long.
Short leash for Pomeranz in this inning.
