Nice pitching matchups. Should be a good series.

If they can win at least 2, that would give them a 7/10 road trip. Very nice. I still love Eck. I like listening to commentary from a pitcher's point of view. Jim Palmer does that on the Baltimore games we play. (NESN is blacked out in my area when we play Balt.)

According to a tweet I saw yesterday, the first game will be broadcast live on twitter.

Sale is the perfect way to follow yesterday's entirely predictable speed bump.

Low key important series, the Rays could be making a move at the division. Let's end their shenanigans early.

I'd take a split right now and be happy. This park makes me ill. Don't pitch to Longoria.

I feel like the Rays will end up the second best team in the division this year so I'd like to take 3 out of 4 but will settle for the split away from home.

Should be some tough games, if the guys continue to play like they have, things should be fine When they come back after all star break, they'll have 42 home game and only 31 road contests until the end of the year. Feeling good right now.

Please don't be a fracture! (Xander HBP on the hand)
Well, he stayed in the game to run.

If Bogaerts ends up on the DL that would be very sad.

Yikes, Lin has replaced him at SS for the bottom of the inning.

Sale is likely going to hit Longoria later on this game as payback for Bogaerts getting hit. It would be better if someone like Abad does it.

Price gonna have words for Eck after saying Benintendi didn't get a good jump. He'd better watch his back.

I would not think Sale (or another member of the Sox pitching staff) would hit Longoria. The pitch that hit Bogaerts clearly just got away from Faria. There was no reason to hit him on purpose.

Maybe so, but you can't have one of your best hitters hit in wrist and let it go without payback. He almost hit Hanley as well. Learn to pitch inside or put your hitters at risk.

Sale's .571 BABIP should get lower in this game.
