The Sox practically own every pitching advantage in every game besides the Fister and Eduardo Rodriguez starts. They should still win at least win 3 out of 4 here.

They might own it in the Fister game, too - Pelfrey isn't good either.
Rodon vs. Rodriguez is a pretty intriguing matchup. Two very talented guys seemingly going sideways. Rodon's coming back from bursitis but just hasn't put it together like I thought he would, even though he was decent in 2015 and 2016. He's also still only 24, which is amazing. It feels like he's been around forever since he's basically been on the radar at the very least since his Freshman year at NC State.

Just looking at these Sox starters requires a comment. The Sox group of Porcello, ERod, Pomz and Fister is very impressive in itself, compared to many such groups in prior years (and currently on other teams). Add Sale, Price and Wright and it looks amazingly unlike Sox rotations i have seen over the decades. Add Johnson, Velasquez, maybe Beeks and others in the pipeline and the Sox rotation is well above average now and for years to come. That is, in itself, amazing, and hopeful.

I know it hasn't gone this way so far, but those ChiSox pitcher ERAs should have our hitters salivating....it's August, it's hot, and it is a good time to start getting some big run total type games.

Interested to see Moncada during this series, once again a small sample size but his stat line is ugly right now.

Just saw a lineup that had Moncada batting cleanup. He is probably still a little banged up but should be playing.

A four game sweep would be nice. We definitely should take 3/4 here.

I expect 50% strikeouts for Moncada in this series. The Red Sox should know better than any team how to get it done.

Evenin' Fellas. We got to take advantage of this series. It's a tough August schedule, so let's make some hay with these guys.

It seems to me like everytime Gonzalez pitched a game against the Sox in Fenway, it was a gem despite his mediocre stuff.

I think we have ourselves a cleanup hitter for the next 12-15 years.
