Jimenez was also #75 on BA's FL list and looks like he barely missed the top 500:
75. Eddie Jimenez, RHP, Southeastern (Fla.) (BA Rank: N/A) 4YR • Sr. Jimenez is one of the hardest-throwing pitchers in NAIA with a fastball that's been clocked in the mid-90s.

Pedro was an anomaly. He was also 160 soaking wet. THAT is incredible. I'm still surprised his arm/shoulder lasted as long as it did, especially the innings (he pitched at least 180 innings 10 x's) he put up. Imagine if he was babied like some pitchers are in this day and age.

Not even a catostrophic injury... just sort of giving out.

The Sox are having a heck of a draft. They are swinging for the fences. Maybe they know by now they won't be able to pay all of their current beasts or semi-beasts in their lineup.

I count around 36 top 200 guys still available. Has there ever been this many top 200 guys that didn't sign?

21: Red Sox take Brandon Howlett, 3B from George Jenkins HS.
Ranked #399 by BA, #437 by PG.
BA write-up:
Notes: School: Jenkins HS, Lakeland, Fla. Ht: 6-1 | Wt: 205 | B-T: R-R | Commit/Drafted: Florida State Scouting Report: A split-camp player, Howlett has performed on big stages since he was an underclassmen and brings intriguing raw power to the table with a chance to be a solid third baseman. However he’s routinely shown swing and miss issues, and wears sports goggles in-game, which raises real concern about his eyesight. He didn’t throw well from the left side of the infield over the summer, but that seemed to be more injury-related than skill, as he shut things down in the offseason and then came out this spring and showed a average arm. He has the actions to stick at third base with solid hands and raw power that profiles well there, but will he ever get to it enough during games? That’s the question teams will be left trying to figure out.

I cannot recall a Sox draft that had such a high percentage of college players as this one, at least so far.

The Sox really do need to score big in this draft. The farm system at present is in rough shape overall. Pawtucket-last place, Portland- last place, Greenville- last place. Only Salem at present is having any success as a team. Not saying there are no good prospects among them but obviously not enough. Hopefully this draft can help.

Not sure why it's not showing up. It's Decker celebrating the Northcut pick, they seem to be friends.

Ranked #455 by PG.
Ranked #72 on BA's FL list. Looks like he just missed their top 500.
