Mookie-Devers-JD is as formidible of a 3 as I can remember. Stuff of nightmares for pitchers. Agreed Benny has no business leading off.

I highly doubt the batting order is why Benny's been struggling a bit

I highly doubt the batting order is why Benny's been struggling a bit It's possible that he's trying to do too much. I wouldn't mind seeing Holt move up to the leadoff spot. He usually has a good OBP.

Benny is 3-39 in the first inning of games, but that stuff is random. If Benny gets moved down, it should only be temporary.
Benny is a on base machine. His profile is perfect for the lead off spot.

Maybe someday JBJ will realize that all of his success comes from going the other way and all of his failure comes from trying to pull everything.

It feels like life smiles at me when JBJ hits XBHs.

Benintendi has been underwhelming as a leadoff hitter. I don't want to say he has plateaued as a hitter. He's still young and can improve. I was hoping he'd put up some of Fred Lynn's best seasons or something similar. He's not there yet. Still a good young player, but perhaps they're better off putting Mookie 1st and Benintendi 2nd again.
At some point, I hope Duran progresses with his contact ability - to keep those batting averages high, because if he can progress quickly, at some point you hope (if Mookie can be re-signed) that you have Duran leading off with Mookie 2nd and Benintendi batting 5th or 6th to lengthen the lineup.

if there's ever a time you wish to just pinch hit early in a game, it's when Leon comes up in a big spot... you're welcome

Eh, I shouldn't say underwhelming. Benny gets on-base at a good clip. I guess I was hoping the guy would be a .300 hitter with a .375 - .400 OBP and some homers too.

I insulted Leon earlier and he jacks a tater! Reason number 84 to never mind what I post.

Nice to see the offense explode. Cleveland really isn't that impressive. Don't know if Minny is that good or what, but maybe they win the division by default. The Indians aren't what they were.

JBJ is really good at this baseballing thing. Also he looks fresh in that gear.

The Indians aren't what they were. im starting to think it's the A's who are more likely to be in the running for one of the wildcard spots than the indians. I hadn't realized that the A's have caught fire lately.

Leon is a proven better hitter from the right side of the plate. He's a lost cause from the left side, but he can do damage against LHP.

Think about this for a minute. JBJ is close to catching Jose Ramirez in hitting. The same guy who had an 8 fWAR season last year.

Incredible. JD's ball hit the top of the right field wall padding and then hit the outfielder's glove and then into the bullpen.

I wonder if or when the Indians sell this season, that they put Lindor on the market.
Bauer would and should be on the market and I would dearly hope that the Yankees don't land him.

Geez, I really don't get the move-Mookie-to-leadoff talk. It's really well known that you want your best hitter batting second. Y'all want Mookie following Bradley and Leon in the batting order?
Personally I wouldn't move Benintendi out of the leadoff spot just because of a slump. But if you really want to I'd rather replace him with Holt or Bogaerts than Mookie.
