Geez, I really don't get the move-Mookie-to-leadoff talk. It's really well known that you want your best hitter batting second. Y'all want Mookie following Bradley and Leon in the batting order? Personally I wouldn't move Benintendi out of the leadoff spot just because of a slump. But if you really want to I'd rather replace him with Holt or Bogaerts than Mookie. i remember a lot of fans last year complaining that Mookie's production was wasted at leadoff and he should hit second. Now that Cora's made that move there's starting to be fans asking to switch Mookie back to leadoff. (My view...the batting order doesn't really matter much but I'd continue to hit him second).

quite a few starts from the rotation this year that are looking pretty good then get kinda ruined at the end...

It's a 5 run lead so it doesn't matter, but hopefully Cora doesn't keep planning on bringing in Hembree with runners on base like last year.

Do we know that it is a slump? His walk rate is decent, but his OBP isn't just above league average. He is K rate is near 20%. He really hasn't been as good a hitter this year. I can't remember if he led off much in previous years, but maybe he needs to be moved. I won't speak to the Mookie thing....except he was MVP from the leadoff spot last year.

I dream of the day when I'm no longer confused about Josh Smiths.
It's nice to see that Holt is facing lefties so there's no thought about replacing him with Nunez. Hopefully he gets the bulk of the 2B starts sharing time with Chavis.

I dream of the day when I'm no longer confused about Josh Smiths. Wasn't this guy one of the Smith's we've carried on the Pawtucket roster?

JBJ wRC+ - 47 Jose Ramirez wRC+ - 59 I remain vaguely troubled by Ramirez’s total and absolute collapse. It’s been just under a year since he disappeared and this borderline-unplayable doppelgänger began the charade. Not that I want him doing great things against the Sox, but...wow. It’s bizarre.

JDM is breaking out homerun wise. Summer definitely changes the airflow over the Park (and just makes it less dense anyway). I expect he’ll do his thing about to the level we all expect, if not hope. I think Devers does too, and I think Bogey might break 30 this year finally. The guy I’m concerned about is Beni, and maybe to a lesser extent, Mookie. Chavis...hmm, it’s rd 2 of league adjustment so I’m curious to see. I still think he may end up around .270/.360/.520 or so. Definitely think he’s got a HR over/under at 30, too. I’d like to see the walks come back some, though. This team clearly has yet to click, and they may not this year, but if they do, zoinks Scoob.

Heath Hembree is not good. Hembree dominated in the month of May.

With Holt now healthy (and hopefully Marco H ready to replace Nunez) - JBJ heating up - the holes in the line up are closing and we can hope to see some awesome offensive games. Add Eovaldi soon...just gotta keep beating up the lesser teams.

I wonder if or when the Indians sell this season, that they put Lindor on the market. Bauer would and should be on the market and I would dearly hope that the Yankees don't land him. Bowden was talking about that on the ESPN radio broadcast. He felt he was likely for the NL, particularly Dodgers if they moved him.
