They're meant to be a lot less formal than other threads on the forum, so to moderate them the same way would be silly. However, we do ask posters to maintain a certain level of decorum in these threads, and we plan on moderating the Gameday threads a little more actively this season. In particular, we ask that posters refrain from being overly repetitive with their posts (if you've made your point, let it go), refrain from monopolizing the discussion (if you are making more than a couple posts in a row, you probably need to slow down a little bit), and of course, follow the Ground Rules ( link). The point is to make these threads worth participating in and fun for all posters, from our long-time fixtures to people just signing up today. -The Management

Needs more than a month to prove it though. Sometimes the worm just turns and all the hard work pays off. It seems to have also coincided with success at the plate also, so maybe that success has given him some extra confidence in the field.

That’s six balls in a row that have been hit fairly hard. Buzzard luck at the plate right now.

I'd rather see them take some pitches and work counts. Yes, they hit the ball hard - nothing to show for it - frustrating for sure.

We are getting all over the place, not top shelf ERod tonight. Way too many deep counts (pretty much par for the course). Flirting with danger - gotta keep it close until the bats show up.
and just like that - bailed out with a DP...phew

Friggin KC is not just a sub-.500 team, they have more than twice as many losses as wins. This is an Orioles-level bad team. Wake up, Boston!

First softly-hit ball in three innings and it’s a hit. Go figure.

Once again, we elevate a good pitcher to Cy Young level as the zeros proliferate for our "offense"
