Must win (they are all must wins, especially against the dreck of the league).
But....current trusted arms - Price, ERod, Workman - maybe Josh Taylor? Nowhere near enough, and with our starters continuing to go short, burnout will only get worse.
And turning the offense off in the 3rd inning - that's the kind of stuff that has gotten us into trouble all year. Last year we did damage and were relentless. This year - not so much damage, not terribly relentless.

I was wrong. Thanks for a good start porcello. Good job grinding. Huh? No imo you are wrong now. Six innings letting up 4 runs is not good. That's a "6 ERA" pitcher. Its one thing if he was hot and this was one of his worst starts. This is just another bad start. Hopefully Cora said they found something in the 3rd inning. . .

Imagine if Toronto was a good team. Would have been an ugly night.

Porcello - a real yo yo. No, really!
2015 9-15 4.92 (bad Rick) 2016 22-4 3.15 (good Rick) 2017 11-17 4.65 (bad Rick) 2018 17-7 4.28 (good enough Rick) so far 2019 7-7 5.37 (bad Rick - if he wasn't getting run support, his record would be abysmal)

Well it was a win anyways. An ugly win > valiant loss or a loss of any kind, so I guess we'll take it. It's a good thing that Toronto is flat out awful. Can't get away with pitching like that against good teams. Hopefully the Sox can take 3.

Yeah, he settled down once the game got out of hand and the offense took the pressure off of Porcello. That start wasn't impressive at all. He's been a train wreck lately.

He settled down and gave us 6 innings. Not important but "Good enough" is relative. You could win 14-13 and the pitching can be considered "good enough." You could focus on the innings you did well or well enough. A guy who has a 6ERA isn't going to be successful more than likely.

This team is really aggravating and is completely reminiscent of the Celtics season we just had, but without the drama.
This team should be competing with the Yankees for the division. They should be WS favorites. On July 16th they're out of the playoffs with no hopes of the division and find ways to lose to good teams. Same message is being spewed as was with the Celtics, just get in. Meanwhile, the guys they're relying the most on have completely let this team down.
I had winning last night as an important win for just showing their ability to rebound and they did a great job of ruining that feeling. They were up 5-0 and then 10-4 and ended 10-8. That's terrible.

I was watching on ESPN+, unfortunately, No Kay on the Yankees broadcast though. It was still fun to see, Yankees now have 16 blown saves, (if there was any an indication of how overrated and out of context that stat can be.) I know we are wanting the Rays to lose, but it was so great to see.

They're 25th in runs scored, the Red Sox had a 5-0 and then a 10-4 lead and barely held on to win finishing 10-8. Rick Porcello and the bullpen continue to anchor this team from taking off. They're winning purely on an incredibly talented lineup. Toronto should have never been in this game.

This was a no-brainer. (I cannot wait for to use this all the time for Brainer Bonaci)

Mixed feelings on this. I don't want Hernandez to be rushed and hurt his development. He needs more time.
