Am kidding, but I am baffled by interim... seems like that is usually reserved for people when another guy is already lined up. Otherwise.... you are just manager, no? They're just doing everything they can to piss you off. That's their only goal. Naw, this seems fine. In a season with enough on the plate, they didn’t get a Bobby V. I don’t even know what Roenicke’s voice sounds like. Perfect.

I remember Jerry Narron as the last out of the 1986 ALCS. Calvin Schiraldi struck him out on a high fastball to send the Red Sox to the World Series.
I thought a former catcher might wind up as bench coach. He's not the guy I had in mind. I guess Varitek didn't want the job.
Jeez, until I read it, I hadn't realized that Narron was the Sox bench coach under Grady Little in 2003. I had totally forgotten.
