Great finish!
Have yourself a day, Christian "Bean Pole" Koss.
The W goes to Victor "El Guapito" Santos, who had really good stuff and made a nice hustle play to beat the runner to first for the final out of the inning with runners in scoring position.

2-0, why is anyone complaining?!

No complaints here.
I'm really impressed with how AC has the kids into it, pumping their fists on the field after sliding into home (Rafaela) or getting a big out (Santos). Many others too. Great to see it already in the first two days.

He looks like an Ace. Franchy looking more comfortable this spring as well. I like this team as-is. Just need a back of the bullpen arm

Just finished listening to the radio broadcast of yesterday's game. Early in the broadcast, after a Christian Koss base knock, Bradfo mentioned that AC had been really talking Koss up before the game. Two homers later, including the walk-off, and it's just amazing how Cora always seems to presage what happens day to day.

Davis got out of a jam after 2nd and 3rd and 0 outs. Struck out two.

Duran is starting to look generally competent in the outfield now, still below average but not a trainwreck by any means

Gary Sánchez with a checked swing K. Some things never change.

He's a potential monster. #1 starter high end. And it is true that pitchers more than any other position may get it together late. We already know he has the eggs based on last season's post season.

Pivetta has one of the most electric arms I’ve seen on the Sox in ages. If he can be more consistent with command, he could be elite. If not, he is still capable of carrying a team during his best stretches.

If not, he is still capable of carrying a team during his best stretches. I could see him being Jake Arrieta. Or not. The potential is there. And like I said. He excelled on the big stage. He seemed to thrive on it.

I moved some Trevor Story discussion to that thread. If you want to discuss a subject and there isn't a thread on it, feel free to start one, don't just post it in an off-topic thread.

I have to say it is a bit humorous that we will have Austin Davis and Hansel Robles to carp about (with no insult meant to Mike Carp) again this year!
Probably good to keep both around. Hoping future deals, and development of our own arms, push them down the depth chart as the season unfolds.
We are looking good in our games so far. Though I've enjoyed the Bruins and Celtics, it is TIME for baseball!
Going to be a really interesting season, I think.

Jonathan Araúz left Saturday’s game with an injury. I’ve heard nothing since, so just a minor thing?

Could have just been a jammed wrist/thumb, but it also wouldn't surprise me if he broke something. Hopefully it's just a minor thing.

Looks like JBJ threw someone out at home today. I love some good defense.

Sounds like Houck has locked down a rotation slot per Cotillo.
So its a three way dance for the final two slots: Hill, Wacha and Whitlock.

Another day, another win.
Nice to see JBJ nail a guy at the plate. Also a nice arm exhibited by Jimenez late (after showing off his wheels the half-inning before).
Devers and Bogaerts each made a nice play in the field early... at their current positions. You watchin', Chaim?

Bazardo and Crawford looked like they could be useful bullpen guys yesterday. Thoughts?

I was definitely impressed by Crawford, who is more of a starter (66 starts out of 67 career minor league appearances). It'll be interesting to see if they bring him up as a reliever later in the season or if they keep him stretched out.
Less impressed with Duran getting picked off first again in the second inning today...
