Love that inning from Matt Strahm.
More importantly, who you taking in the battle of the hair-do. Strahm or old school Heath Hembree?

Games go a lot faster when both teams swing at pitches. I cannot stand watching the Yankees play when they swing at about 10% of pitches thrown.

Only 4 games in but for the sake of my sanity watching sox games get someone better than Bradley for the OF. As a spot starter and defensive replacement fine but he's not a guy I have any interest in starting 120+ games. I also still like Hernandez but he's very much a candidate to regress closer to his career averages then being the guy we saw put up a career year last year. Obviously not easy to do at this point and they're probably stuck with what they have for at least the next month or two but in my mind they need another reliable bat to lengthen the lineup.

I could do without arauz , JBJ and Shaw. When is casas ready so we can tradeDalabec for a right fielder

Nice changeup! Looks different from the split he’s thrown in the past

When is casas ready so we can tradeDalabec for a right fielder I could do without Arauz but don't hate the thought of giving him a look as a bench piece while the rosters are 28 man. He's looking like an obvious demotion when the rosters go back to 26 and it's not like he'd be playing if story wasn't sick. Jbj and shaw yep had enough of them seeing this many ABs on a regular basis.

Hopefully that’s a weight off of Barnes’ shoulders.

Conforto will be the RF at some point this season Much rather look for a trade. Verdugo is way better in LF and Conforto can't play RF in Fenway.

Why would they schedule the home opener at 5 when they played Sunday night in NY? They got in at 4 am. It’s a 4PM game there (@det) Not, it's 5; Detroit is in the eastern time zone.

I dont outright disagree but it does seem unlikely they'd be able to find a viable trade partner giving up a starting caliber corner OF until at least June. If it's sign conforto to hopefully play in the next few weeks or wait another 40-50 games until the trade market may heat up I'm all aboard signing Conforto assuming it's a reasonable 3-4 year deal.

Hopefully the pinch hit Dalbec for Shaw next inning to break up this horrible 6-9

Trading for a viable corner OF is going to cost prospects that very easily could be worth more than a 3rd round lotto ticket. I'm not saying sign conforto to some 20+ mil a year deal but he was a very good player from 2017-2020 and had a down year in 2021. If they think he can regain that 2017-2020 form I'd rather just spend the money and lose the pick then the prospect cost. It's not like a team is going to just gift the sox a free OF.

Bradley and Arroyo aren’t the answer out there.
