They're meant to be a lot less formal than other threads on the forum, so to moderate them the same way would be silly. However, we do ask posters to maintain a certain level of decorum in these threads, and we plan on moderating the Gameday threads a little more actively this season. In particular, we ask that posters refrain from being overly repetitive with their posts (if you've made your point, let it go), refrain from monopolizing the discussion (if you are making more than a couple posts in a row, you probably need to slow down a little bit), and of course, follow the Ground Rules ( link). The point is to make these threads worth participating in and fun for all posters, from our long-time fixtures to people just signing up today. -The Management

I believe I'm making it to all three of these games. I'll be rooting us on in enemy territory...although its hardly hostile in Seattle.

I believe I'm making it to all three of these games. I'll be rooting us on in enemy territory...although its hardly hostile in Seattle. Neither Seattle nor the SF area are hostile area to Boston. At the Oakland series, the place was loaded with Sox fans. And even longtime Bay Area folk relate well to Boston as being a lot like home. Other thoughts. So far on this road trip, we are 6-1. Take it and be happy. Neither Dalbec nor Franchy is our 1B in the long run. Right now, Casas is not. I am hoping for a not to expensive acquisition on the order of a Mitchie Twobags to improve both offense and defense at 1B. My take on the rotation by season end. Leave Whitlock in as long as he is getting results. Add Sale if he can go five-plus innings. If not, then use him in highest leverage bullpen roles. And do keep in mind that an injury or two from now or Sale and Paxton not ready and the rotation could be a problem.

Has the corresponding roster move to add Refsnyder been announced?

Duran will not be up until at least Tuesday. Or with these LH starting. I can’t find any lineup. But if I dead refsnyder is up I’d say it’s Arauz back down.

Whitlock to the IL with hip soreness, Valdez back up.
Refsnyder has to be put on the 40-man, maybe Darwinzon to the 60-day?

44 pitches in the first for the junkballer Gonzales and only one run. That’s so negative. We scored. We’re winning and in position to tax their bullpen big time in game 1 of this series.

I love Kiké, amd he plays a real good CF, but there is something about watching JBJ Shag a fly.

Pretty sure I would trade Marcelo Mayer and Bello to the Mariners if they were willing to give up their broadcast production team and announcers

Franchy taking walks is how he gets to his power.

I think more than half this board has more experience playing baseball than this team

Refsnyder?!?!? This is hard to believe. How much different/better would this team be with Schwarber? Not to be overly cliche, but Schwarber really enjoyed playing in Boston, too. He was a perfect fit.

Remember when signing Wacha and Hill was only worth it if they followed up with a legit top-2 starter?

Loved Schwarber but if Dalbec wasn’t so putrid this year it would sting way less.

Considering how terrible our 1B production has been he would have been a huge upgrade. But between giving Dalbec a shot and having Casas in AAA, I get it.
