Do not send this kid down Especially not for Kiké. That would break me. Our outfield is the worst in baseball besides Oakland. If they can’t find consistent playing time for him they aren’t trying hard enough.

Manny continues to amuse. If I understood him correctly, he said the following:
- Mentioned Pedroia as part of the close-knit '04 team. Pedroia didn't hit The Show until the latter part of '06. - Talked about when he got to the RS in 2000. His first year here was 2001. - Claimed he was a "good player" in Cleveland but got better when he got to Boston because of the super-charged atmosphere. A good player in Cleveland? Here are his OPS-plus numbers from 1994 to 2000 with Cleveland: 125, 147, 146, 144, 146, 174 (!!!) and 186 (!!!)
Hilarious! And that hairstyle on a 50-year-old man cracks me up.

Duran needs to play. He’s legitimately their best OF right now. I’m not sure how we got to this point, but it’s true.

Winckowski is not fooling anyone right now. I'll take his not fooling anyone for 5 innings with just 3 hits and 1 run. Solid work, Winck.

I gotta admit, I was really down on Duran after last season......very happy to be wrong and starting to really like him now

I’m sure others have mentioned it. Any, Bob Stanley comparisons for Wink?

Signing Manny changed the course for the entire franchise. It ended badly, but that was always going to be the case. He should be as revered in Boston as Papi is(or damn close).

He’s had some struggles, but I’m happy Trevor Story is a Red Sox.

Wink getting a lot of groundballs, and this year's defense can actually convert them!

Winckowski, back end starter! Not a great lineup that he's facing. Had some hard hit balls, but only one walk. Cora tried to squeeze out another inning from him. Overall managed the game - I'm sure better than Cora expected.

Winckowski, back end starter! So much better than a Brad Peacock type as a spot starter

Damn, look at Benintendi back in left field. Funny because they’re both pretty similar. Former CFs who lost some of their athleticism and are bound to LF, albeit with more of a CF’s stick. I would rather bet on Verdugo’s upside offensively at this point, but they’re similar.

Diekman has pitched once since June 12th and they go to another lefty after one batter?

MFYs (Cole/Holmes) go from no-hitting TB in the 8th to a 2-2 tie. Now goes to the 9th.

Wouldn't be a Red Sox game without Franchy absolutely murdering a ball and getting an out for his trouble.

He is definitely not their best outfielder.

So do we think Houck is done as a multi inning guy? Feels like they could be getting more from him by doing that, especially with Strahm and Schreiber pitching so well. Kinda surprised if so, but this is why you don’t pay for relievers.
