Landry is another lefty that mostly relieved this yr. Good control 54/7 K/BB ratio in 41.2 IP. Was sitting 90-93 this fall, with a "4 pitch mix"

It seems like the Sox are basically putting no importance on role for college pitchers this year, or if anything see college relievers as undervalued because they don’t have to be relievers.

BC Righty Joe Mancini goes to the Astros. Really worked hard throughout his career and got himself drafted. Nice delivery and mix. was much better than his number suggested for a bad BC team this yr. Was very happy to him get drafted. Great kid.
Wellesley native and Alabama (via Duke) OF Billy Siedl goes to the White Sox. Cape league all-star this summer but 24 yrs old, brother is a pretty good P at Duke.

Looking at our rosters right now, unless they plan on bunching a dump of college pitchers who throw gas in the FCL (and even then), I have no idea where they put all of these guys. I wonder if they choose not to pitch some of these relievers who already have 40+ innings and just work on stuff.

At 489, the Red Sox select Garrett Ramsey, RHP, Southern Miss.
Doesn't look like he's ranked anywhere.

The MLB Draft is honestly crazy, in these rounds it literally just feels like teams could submit a list of the 10 guys they want and there'd be very little overlap. I get it's a tools thing but I just have a hard time fathoming how there are college relievers that have been pretty lockdown in power conferences and the postseason (I'm specifically thinking of Jacob Palisch, though a bit biased), yet Georgia's backup catcher pitches like two times and is a 14th rounder.

Give me a Joe Davis type college hitter that probably won't make the majors but is a sure bet to rake at the lower levels, I wanna have some fun

All about projectability I reckon Sox pick some guys with funky releases, I like it. A lot of these guys seem like uncomfortable at-bats

At 519, the Red Sox select Deundre Jones, 1B, Lutheran South Academy (TX).
Doesn't appear he's ranked anywhere.

The Yankees draft continues to baffle me.
17/17 College or JuCo 13/17 Pitchers But the wildest one is 9/17 are from the West Coast

I wonder what the odds of Sanders and/or Jones signing is. Would be very sweet to find a couple HS kids like them on day 3 without losing out on Day 1 signings.

Angels take Max Gieg, BC RHRP and St John's Prep alum. Power stuff, has relieved and been an opener this past yr. Command issues, but the stuff has always been premium.
