i am looking for payback on this series. Buchholtz getting his 7th is a nice start from these bums.

If the Sox can't figure out how to beat their three with our three, it'll be a painful summer.

Buchholz has a great spitball going tonight.

That was a damned impressive inning from Buchholz. Three strikeouts, two swinging, on just 11 pitches.

This inning is equally pathetic.

The double plays are killing them right now.

Ok leadoff guy on again, another dp. Not going to be their night no matter how tough the Clay is and hate to waste efforts like this.

The double plays are killing them right now. I'm watching a stream. Have the Twinkies broadcast. Blyleven is ok. But, the dink doing the play by play is annoying. Every time the Sox get a runner on base. He says; "Maybe we can get a double play." Just announce the game bleeptard and quit cheerleading.

Some faith in Wilson right now.
On the other hand, this offense is distressing. I realize Napoli and Victorino are out, but really Middlebrooks should not be hitting fifth.

Eh, they have nine hits and six walks this game. If it weren't for the double plays and if they sequenced a little better, it'd be a blowout.

Farrell deserves to get punched in the throat for pinch-running for Ortiz. He's not even the go-ahead run.

Twins had last 17 go down in order. Talk about grinding a W out.

Uehara is awesome. Did he just hug Salty after a save in May?

Nice win. Tazawa-Uehara-Bailey is a dynamic backend of the bullpen, which should get even better when Morales returns.

Unless Morales needs to take over Doubront's spot in the rotation

Every time I see a sacrifice bunt work it makes me worry that the manager will start doing it more often...

A game like this is pretty standard when playing the Twins, it seems. But Buchholz kept them in it, and there was good work from all of the relievers. Just another win.

Ellsbury needs to get it together. He's hitting .247 on the season and just .160 over the last 2 weeks. You're in a contract year bud, help not just the team out but yourself as well. Even more importantly help my fantasy team.

Even more importantly help my fantasy team. He is not striking out and he is walking more than his career average, but has been bitten a bit by the BABIP bug (.282 to compared to .319 for his career). If you look at his batted balls though, he is just not making contact like he did in 2011 (which is also obvious to anyone who watches the games). This year his line drive percentage is down to 17.8% his ground ball percentage is 51.0%, and his hr/fb is an atrocious 2%. Since he has been unable to barrel up on the ball, I would love to see Ellsbury try to bunt for some hits.

The words "love" and "bunt" should never be used in the same sentence.
