Teddy Stankiewicz is the pick.

We get Teddy. I think he could go below slot here.

I wanted Wilson or Denney. Seems higher than I expected.

At this point, I am thinking it is very likely that Wilson goes back to school.

Agreed Pedroelgrande. Could see a little money to play with here later on.

I honestly don't expect them to go under slot here. I think we all expected that with a few guys last year and it didn't happen.

Man... I suggested earlier Wilson was the pick, an injury guy falling, and they might pick whoever in the top 10 (at 7) was the cheapest sign (I think Ball may be a little under slot, dont know, but he expected to be picked 8-14th). Then use that money at 2nd rounder.
Little surprised that they didn't do. Damn.

Agreed on Wilson returning to Stanford for his senior season. The gamble clearly worked-out well for Appel. I wouldn't be shocked if a number of college juniors selected in the top 5 rounds choose to go back to school this year.

So, taking high upside young pitchers seems to be the strategy this year.

I don't mind Stank as the pick but was looking at him with our third round pick.
