Some tough criticism of some these draftees. Hey, we need org guys, too. No organization has all Prospects.

Allday in the senior signs 6-10th. Edit: Not a senior but you know its the same. He's not? MLB.com lists him as a senior (not that I think MLB.com is infallible by any means).

Allday was ranked as the seventh best prospect in the state of Arkansas by BA.

Allday was ranked as the seventh best prospect in the state of Arkansas by BA. Jordon Austin in comparison was not in BA's top 95 Florida amateurs, so ya, they missed him.

With the new system taking some of these Seniors is the price we pay for taking another potential first round pick like Jon Denney.

BaseballCube is a great website but those Allday stats are slightly out-of-date. Go here for full 2013 stats

I understand the rest of these picks aren't going to be sexy, but I'd like to see the Sox take at least one more gamble with a signability guy. What do they have to lose with wasting a pick #264 on Ryan Boldt? ? (assuming he stays on the board)

They will take a couple guys like that after round ten, round 9 it would be stupid

What do they have to lose with wasting a pick #264 on Ryan Boldt? ? (assuming he stays on the board) If they don't sign him they lose the slot value of the pick from their bonus pool. At this point there won't be any signability guys until after the 10th.

Allday was ranked as the seventh best prospect in the state of Arkansas by BA. What does that say about the state of baseball in Arkansas? By the way, Forrestt Allday went to Friendswood HS. Can't make stuff like this up.

Jordon Austin in comparison was not in BA's top 95 Florida amateurs, so ya, they missed him. Wonder if that speaks more to Florida vs Arkansas or Austin vs Allday? Florida is a traditional source of talent and this was considered an all-time for the prep class, for what its worth.

Jon Denney @jondenney2650s This is awesome i have been a Red Sox fan my whole life! Ever since I started watching MLB baseball, now I'm apart of their organization! Apart, uh oh, sounds like the agreement is in trouble. I guess it's not fair to pick on the kid and criticize his tweets ... or his two misspelled names. I'm glad he found a good landing spot and I hope he succeeds with the Sox. Besides, it's not every day that you become a millionaire, or close to it! As I recall Joe Hardy couldn't spell either.
