Was there really a reason to use three separate posts there? It was 3 completely separate points. I think it's better to have short, cogent points rather than 3 part, long points. I don't understand why that is a problem. Is it some sort of guideline here to limit the number of posts? I really don't get it. If someone wants to respond to a specific point, wouldn't it be better to make it more cogent?

Was there really a reason to use three separate posts there? As I suggested he's getting paid by the post. I guessed Atlanta for Ciriaco not SD but its not like it matters. We aren't getting anything that will amount to more than depth somewhere. Personally, I try not to be a jerk. At least I try. This is ridiculous.

If someone wants to respond to a specific point, wouldn't it be better to make it more cogent? People often quote (and/or maybe bold) specific sections of a post if they only respond to part of it. Generally on forums, you want to limit consecutive posts (it clogs up the page, inflates post counts, can seem annoying, etc). If they are posts that are separated by a decent amount of time, it's not really a problem, but I think most people would appreciate a single neatly formatted post where you can talk about multiple things.

Why have a few people been saying he has the most dominant stuff we've had since Pedro? Have you guys seen/scouted him? Have you seen scouts say this? Or are you just taking nice scouting reports here and there and piecing them together into some hyperbole?
I mean, I am bullish on RDLR. He could become our #2 along side Buch. But he may not. I just haven't seen anything where I can confidently say he has the best stuff we've had since Pesro.

RDLR...not ready...not ready...not ready. Poor control and I don't think his FB has much movement. Good change-up.

I stated before that it was more of an observation not picking. You mention that you sometimes feel like a pinata around here and think that may have more to do with the way you takes things than the way other people take you. Double posting is actually banned on pretty much every forum I'm a member at and the old yuku site I think we paid by the post. Moving on, you'll never hear from me again but think about what I said. On RDLR people have seen him pitch back when he was up with the Dodgers and have reported absolutely nasty stuff. Norm I think watched a game a while ago that he was very impressed with.

Honestly, I probably prefer Webster's stuff to RDLR's. Velocity is not the end-all be-all, and I've been unimpressed by Rubby's breaking pitch. Great changeup though.
Plus, Rubby needs a lot of work on command and control before we should start the Pedro comparisons.

Correct. It was on TV but it left a very strong impression. He worked with just 2 pitches the few innings I watched, but that was quite enough for me to get the idea. The fastball was in the mid to upper 90s with significant run. But the killer was the changeup. "Sensitized" to the hard stuff, batters were left flailing at a pitch that looked just like that out of the hand, buy which came in 10 mph slower, with more run and the bottom dropping out. Tough stuff. Don't remember seeing the slider though he has one that's supposed to be an ok pitch. Have not seen him after TJ, on TV or in person.

I do make a living on the internet but not here ok. I own several websites and 2 businesses. It has always been my understanding that long, convoluted posts are not as good as cogent posts. In many forums I don't even read long posts from some posters. If the site wants longer posts, even for completely unrelated points, then just tell me. I don't think that is a good policy but if the site guidelines are for that, I can adjust my posts. The advertising on most websites are paid for on a page view basis. More posts means more page views. Personally I prefer cogent posts from a readability perspective but if the guidlines are different here management can just say so, as I believe they just did.

Pedro was one of the best pitchers of all time. We gotta be careful comparing people to him.
Remember he struck out 17 yankees on the road at Yankee Stadium.

RDLR more so as Pedro apparently mentored him in ST and guides him often. Enough of a pedro connection to call him pedro lite.

WMB, you should be murdering that 3-1 fastball down the middle.

Iggy easily beats a bunt. Streak alive.
Hard pressed to get a split this weekend. I'm getting that sinking feeling for tonight even though Tillman's nothing special.

Tim Britton ?@timbritton 1m The Red Sox have two hits in their last 11 offensive innings. And one of them was Iglesias' bunt.

Did WMB become Willy Mo Brooks this season or what we have really is Willy Mo Brooks?

Is there a reason this team forgets how to play baseball against the Orioles?

A logical 3 man platoon at SS/3B would involve the hottest player playing every day, and the other two fighting for playing time. But of course veterans get whatever they want so their sensitive feelings are not bruised, and rookies have to 'earn it', even if it costs us wins.

Tim Britton ?@timbritton 1m The Red Sox have two hits in their last 11 offensive innings. And one of them was Iglesias' bunt. On the other hand, Iglesias is responsible for two-thirds of the Sox hits today, with a bunt single and a double. His only out came on a liner. Glass half full and all that...
