I am so sick of this sh*t.

Unless they knew he was driving the boat (which they don't), I was a bit surprised they released this info. While I'm not judging or condoning this, I'm sure a lot of entertainers/athletes we all love and respect use this drug (cocaine). Yep. I don't understand the need to release this information unless it was clear that Fernandez was driving. Bad form.

Nah. I'm good. It's okay to not try to win the offseason every year. Fill in bullpen holes, extend some of the younger guys, and hunker down. I like having payroll flexibility for a change.

Thanks, Big Dave. We will never be able to express how important 2004 was for all of us.

I'd fully commit to the Swihart/Vazquez platoon. Finding a León suitor would be ideal.

It's tough seeing León keep getting ABs. His horses turned to mice well before this game.

We've had worse starts than this. Let's go, boys. Step up today, David(s).

Shit loss, but I suppose it's better to get these kinks out now, and to remember that this team is mortal prior to the postseason. What's frustrating is that one could see pretty quickly that it was one of Kimbrel's spaz outings. Why wait so long to let him totally implode?

It's a disgrace that Copperfield's is now some chain joint. Is there ANY heart left in this world this side of Dusty Pedroia?!?

This run feels like the west coast trip back in 2004. You can just feel that a switch has been flipped.

... can someone explain to me why Farrell continues to play Holaday over Vazquez? It makes no sense to me on any level. Have you considered the manager has information you do not that tilts the decision in favor of H over V? Yes I have, and unless it is injury related, an idea that hasn't been mentioned, then it continues to make no sense. Vazquez is an important part of the organization going forward.

When it comes to the playoffs, I just get out the blinders and stick with tunnel vision. Yes, there are probably more or less favorable matchups, but the Sox will have to go through the best to win it all regardless. Just line those bastards up in whatever order, and let's rumble.

Pomeranz is close to pitching his last inning this year IMO. Agreed. Could they limit his work by transitioning him to the bullpen for the postseason?

Robbie Scott absolutely looks the part of a solid LOOGY--certainly more impressive than what we've seen from Abad. Of course, I'm always in favor of keeping an extra arm--especially a lefty--in the postseason.

1) Why is León not hitting for Young? 2) Will JBJ ever fix the massive hole in his swing on slightly elevated, middle-in fastballs? 3) On to tomorrow. Let's win. Every one of us would've been thrilled to take 2/3 here. Do it. Do it.
