Here is a thought. If the Sox are sure that Ellsbury will leave as a free agent why not work up a 3 team trade in which the 3rd team gives up prospects for Ellsbury that are flipped to Chicago and the Sox acquire Peavy and Rios. Again this would never happen but it does kind of make sense. Rios fits better in RF and it moves Victorino to CF or LF. Saves the farm...eh an outside the box idea I guess.

Don't trade for anyone. That makes the most sense. Sage advice. Stay the course. With the depth we currently have in the minors, in 1 to 2 year time we could be a force. Lets not trade away the future for some short term gratification. First time posting here, long time reader so hopefully I can add something to the site. Unless if Lee comes at the price of Bradley Workman and a lesser prospect then stay the course. Do not trade Boegarts, he has a very protectable bat and is a rare talent. Boegarts and Manny Machado will be the top infielders for years to come.
